In the four-day Film Workshop, participants will work in teams to produce their own original short films. By scripting, casting, directing, shooting,
editing and - ultimately - screening their projects, students will experience every facet of the
independent cinema process.
All workshops will be taught through a collaborative effort by the School of Journalism & Broadcasting faculty. More
information about SB&J faculty can be found at: http://www.wku.edu/journalism/staff/index.php

Spend four days of hands-on training with the coordinator of the photojournalism program at WKU in the Photojournalism Workshop. Learn how to make great storytelling pictures for your

camera and 4 GB memory card.
In the Cross-platform Workshop students will spend four days of training in enhanced
storytelling. Technology hasn't changed the need for a compelling story. Students will learn how to not only make sure the story is well written and properly sourced, but in addition they will gain hands-on experience using digital tools. They will
learn new ways to tell a story, as the Web provides a distribution network unmatched by any
conventional medium.
