Molly Taylor curriculum vitae I’m a freelance journalist and stylist plus a second year student on the BA (Hons) fashion journalism degree at London College of Fashion. I’m an incredibly driven and reliable person, having withheld a number of internships and freelance writing jobs. I have written for VOGUE.CO.UK, Not Just a Label, Pigeons and Peacocks and The Wild Magazine with fashion week coverage for StyleFan and PYLOT magazine. I am a member of the National Union of Journalists and I’m certified to practice Teeline Shorthand at a speed of 90 words per minute. I also work as both an independent stylist and as an assistant on a number of celebrity projects as well as working as a member of the blog team for model Emma Miller. I have experience in a number of sectors of the fashion industry, including photography, creative direction, social media, fashion retail, broadcast and graphic design. Emma Miller Blog - PR Executive and blogger June 2014 – Present (6 months) London - Daily duties include formatting, image retouching, copy writing and pitching features. - I also handle Emma’s schedule and liase with PR companies for events and appearances. - I help to handle her social media accounts and organise photoshoots for the blog and for her modelling portfolio Vogue - digital intern July 2014 – August 2014 (1 month), London - Working closely with online fashion editor Jessica Bumpus on shopping edits, writing news stories, updating biographies and writing pieces for the blog. - I gained experience working with a CMS system and requesting photographs to be used on the website as well as inputting features and blog posts. - Keeping up to date with newspapers to help the news team find features ideas. The Independent - fashion team internship July 2014 (2 weeks), London - Responsibilities included calling in beauty products and transcribing interviews. - I assisted Alexander Fury on a photoshoot with Nick Knight at SHOWSTUDIO and on two further photo- shoots for the Independent’s fashion pages. Skills /Excellent skills in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator as well as Microsoft products, such as Word and Excel. /Confident on both an Apple and Microsoft operating system. /Basic skills with digital and traditional photography. /90wpm certified in Teeline Shorthand. /Good researcher and fast transcriber. /I can converse and write in basic French. /Basic knowledge of HTML and wordpress systems.
