SummaryThe Regional Aviation Association of Australia and Hawker Pacific Pty Ltd are pleased to invite applications for the Hawker Pacific Aircraft Maintenance (Avionics) 2017 Scholarship.

Funded by Hawker Pacific Pty Ltd with a value of $5,000, it is intended that one (1) scholarship will be awarded as encouragement to the continuing education of a promising Aircraft Maintenance Engineer who has demonstrated a commitment to the aviation industry. Funds are to be used to assist the recipient to attend the Aircraft Electronics Association (AEA) International Convention and Trade Show in Las Vegas, Nevada from 26-29 March 2018.

Application for the Hawker Pacific Aircraft Maintenance (Avionics) Engineer Scholarship for 2017 is open to:

4 apprentices currently employed in the aviation industry and who are enrolled in their third (3rd) year or above of an Aircraft Maintenance (Avionics) Engineering apprenticeship in 2017, or

4 recently qualified avionics engineers or technicians employed in the aviation industry who have completed their apprenticeship/training in the last two (2) years.

The selection criteria for the Hawker Pacific Scholarship include, but are not limited to, the following:

4 Academic progress

4 Course attendance

4 Progress in and contribution to the work place

4 Special awards or achievements

4 The benefits offered by receiving scholarship assistance

All applications will be judged by a panel comprising senior members of the RAAA and Hawker Pacific. The decision of the judges is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

It is a condition of the Scholarship that the successful applicant provides a report to the RAAA at the completion of the Scholarship. This report is to include details of how the awarded funds were used in support of his/her education and training.

Applicants should complete the following Application Form, attaching extra pages if required. You may attach any additional or special information which you feel may support your application, including copies of any references or special awards, your Curriculum Vitae, school reports or certificates.

Applications should be received at the RAAA Office by 31 July 2017. Applications can be mailed (to the address below), emailed or a link sent via DropBox ([email protected])
