Training Gun Dogs for Deer Hunting Hi and thank you for your interest in our “Training Gun Dogs for Deer Hunting Training Day”. The Riverina branch of the ADA is proud to introduce its second gun dog training day presented by Niels Søndergaard from Denmark, where the use of gun dogs for tracking deer is an integral part of the hunting scence. Niels Søndergaard is a qualified Wildlife Manager and Forester currently employed as the Director of the Department of Education and Advisory with the Danish Hunters’ Association (DHA), which has 876 clubs with almost 94,000 members. He is the author of the book “Working with Dogs for Deer”, and has 25 years’ experience working with gundogs, especially with tracking dogs to search for wounded deer. He has trained 8 tracking dogs and number 9 is on its way. He is a judge at Danish trials for tracking dogs, has participated in courses for the Danish police dog school, the German organization Verein Hirshmann (Hanover Hound Association) and has conducted dog training courses in England (particularly for the British Association for Shooting and Conservation), Denmark, Ireland, England, Sweden and Norway. Niels is also a very dedicated hunter, he enjoys a variety of big game and bird hunting but prefers hunting where dogs have an important and active role in the pursuit of game. This event will be fully catered by the ADA Riverina Branch and the day shall include morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea. Cost:$225 if bringing a dog or $125 without a dog. Full payment in advance willbe required to secure attendance.

Prizes:The main prize is a Sako A7 rifle in a calibre of choice supplied byWagga Firearms and and Beretta, valued at $1,500.00. Everyone who attends will receive a ticket in the lucky door prize draw Other prizes include;
