350-400 g fine flour1/4 packet of baking powder100 g 100% fat1 eggs80 g sugarpinch of salt200 ml 8% beerflour to dust the rolling pin For the filling: 350-400 g apples
100 g sugar50 g raisins50 g candied fruit50 g nutscinnamon
How to make it:How to make it:Sprinkle the rolling board with flour and mix in the baking powder.
Add the eggs, 100% fat, beer, a pinch of salt and some sugar. Work into a heavy dough, which you should leave in a cool place for around an hour.
Roll this out into a 3mm-thick sheet and divide into two. Spoon the chopped apples, crushed nuts, raisins and candied fruit onto the sheets. Dust with sugar and cinnamon. Carefully fold the sheets over on themselves, press down lightly and put onto a baking tray. Pierce the top of the strudel several times with a skewer, then place in a medium oven and bake until golden brown.
Lightly brush the strudel with beer and dust with icing sugar.
