E Nadir Recessed floor luminaires IP67

In architectural interiors and intransition zones between indoorsand outdoors, recessed floor lumin-aires are often chosen for use asdirective lighting or to create dra-matic lighting accents. Such tasksare fulfilled by the Nadir range ofrecessed floor luminaires, whichprovides low to medium lightlevels. The compact cast aluminiumluminaire housings are designedand built in an appropriate pro-tection mode to withstand dirtand moisture, for instance, whenfloors are cleaned. Tesis recessedfloor luminaires are available in theERCO Outdoor Lighting Programfor the special demands of archi-tectural and landscape lighting inthe outdoor environment. Nadirluminaires attract attention sincethey are not only light sourcespresent at ground level but theirupward beam direction is unusualand therefore especially noticeable.In this respect they also assumesome tasks of directive lighting, e.

g. by marking pathways or high-lighting entrances. In addition tothese rather technical uses, Nadirluminaires can also provide highlyeffective architectural lighting,whether for a dramatic accentu-ation of individual points or toemphasise architectural lines usinga row of luminaires. To suit a par-ticular area of application, Nadirluminaires are available for com-pact fluorescent lamps and also forlow-voltage and tungsten halogenlamps.

General characteristicsThe product range consists of fourluminaire housings, of which sizes3, 4 and 8 are available for directivelighting and sizes 3, 4 and 6 as up-light or directional luminaires. Thehousings and mounting rings arecorrosion resistant cast alumini-um and which have the No-Rinsesurface treatment. This is followedby a double powder-coating in sil-ver. The luminaire has a high loadresistant safety glass. All lumin-

aires are fitted with an electricalconnection cable. Nadir recessedfloor luminaires meet IP67 pro-tection mode. Recessed housingsare available as accessories for allsizes.

Uplights CharacteristicsAn uplight with etched glass ringis produced in the smallest lumin-aire size. A safety glass acts as theluminaire cover.

ApplicationNarrow-beamed, indirect lighting,for uses including dramatic accentlighting of architectural details ordelineation of special areas.

Directional luminaires CharacteristicsIn the luminaire sizes 4 and 6,rotatable and tiltable direction-al luminaires are available withsilver-anodised aperture masksor cardanic suspension and blackmultigroove baffles. The safetyglasses are clear. Low-voltage halo-gen reflector lamps 20W/12V orQPAR30 lamps up to 75W are tobe used. Cross baffles or sculpturelenses are available as accessor-ies, but only for mounting on theQPAR30.

ApplicationNarrow-beamed, indirect lighting,for uses including dramatic accentlighting of architectural details,delineation of special areas or fortiltable indirect lighting of exhibits.

Recessed floor luminaires CharacteristicsIn the smaller luminaire housing,either 15W Pigmy lamps or 10W/12V QT9 low-voltage halogenlamps are to be used. 5W compactfluorescent lamps are to be used inthe medium size and 18W in thelargest size. The safety glasses arewhite. They can be printed on theunderside with inscriptions suchas room numbers, direction arrowsor other designs. LED modules areused in the size 3 luminaire. TheseLEDs are operated on mains voltageand therefore do not require separ-ate control gear. The colours white,blue, green and amber are avail-able. Every luminaire is coveredwith a glass that differs from thecover glasses of other Nadir re-cessed floor luminaires in that it isa diffuser with Softec lens. This en-sures an optimum wide beam andoptimum colour recognition, evenwhen viewed from shallow angles.

ApplicationMainly used as indirect beam, ro-tationally symmetrical directivelighting, other uses include theidentification of architectural lines,routes or restricted areas and thedisplay of visual information.
