Open Policy Meeting (OPM) 2018

• 13th July, 2018: IP member meeting was held onsite in HanoiCity and two remote sites via teleconference in Hochiminhand Da Nang City.

• Main topic: IPv6 deployment within VNNIC IP members• Speakers:

• Ms Anna from APNIC gave a presentation on Internetresource management in our region and IPv6 trends andmeasurements as well as IPv4 transfers.

• VNPT Group representative shared their IPv6experiences on Mobile and FTTH services.

• An Authority (The Authority of Information TechnologyApplication) of MIC also informed new policy requiringGovernment agencies need to deploy IPv6 for Portal andpublic services.

Routing training course

• 10-12 July, 2018: Routing II Training Course.• APNIC held the routing training course for Vietnamcommunity in VNNIC office.• The trainers: Mr. Tashi Phuntsho – Senior NetworkAnalyst (two VNNIC staff supported Tashi during thecourse).• Attendees: Technical staff of some biggest ISP, NetworkOperators, government agencies and some enterprises(VNPT, Viettel Group, MIC, MOFA…).

VNIX-NOG 2018

• 24th Aug, 2018: VNIX-NOG 2018 was held in Danang City (3rd VNIX-NOG conference).• Main topic: Routing Security.• Speakers: The experts from APNIC, ISOC,

JPNIC, Facebook, Cloudflare, Fukuoka University and some biggest ISPs, ICPs in Vietnam (VNPT, Viettel, FPT Telecom, CMC Telecom).• Website: 2018.vnix-nog.vn.

May 2018: Vietnam IPv6 Day IPv6 Training for Government Agenciesin HCMC (9-11/5/2018)

Jan, 2018: Presented MIC Award to enterprises who contributed greatly to

IPv6 deployment in 2017

IPv6 article on MIC’s Website VietNam IPv6 Ready

• The plan will finish at the end of 2019

• We are developing the evaluation form at the Plan.

• The organization will evaluate themselve and inform VNIPv6TF.

• The evaluation will inform the organization complete the Plan or not.

1. IPv6 activities• Vietnam National IPv6 Action Plan will finish in 2019,

the evaluation form will be publiced at the end of this year.• IPv6 training for many Departments of Information and

Communications in Hai Duong Province (25-26/9/2018).• The VNIPv6TF will pay working visits to some ISP,

ICP, Mobile operators in next month.
