International Watchmen Bootcamp 31 Oct — 15 Nov 2019

Join us in ISRAEL for our fourth APN International Watchmen Bootcamp. We’ve designed it to follow-on from the Watchmen Schools of Intercession for all those who have a heart or calling to pray in the nations. Places are limited to 40 people so be quick and apply as soon as possible.

The aim of the Bootcamp is twofold: to teach participants how to pray with insight and cultural sensitivity in the nations; and to enable participants to ‘understand the past, connect to the present and shape the future’ with regards to the Middle East and Israel in particular.

To this end we have put together a program of activities and teaching that will be challenging and inspiring, designed to shape you and your prayers to impact nations. We will work with local leaders in Israel who are labouring to see God’s kingdom come. Our hope and prayer is that our teams will be a blessing and encouragement to them and their work.

Note that the tour price of AUD$6,499 per person includes flights from Australia. A deposit of $500 is payable with your application. Please note, if your application is unsuccessful or the tour is oversubscribed, your deposit will be immediately refunded. A flight payment of approx. $2,500 will be due upon comfirmation of the tour. The final payment will be required three months prior to departure. TOUR TERMS & CONDITIONSPASSPORTS - Passports must be valid for at least 6 months at time of final departure from overseas. VISAS - Australian passport holders do not currently require visas for Israel. Non-Australian passport holders will be considered on a case by case basis, with priority given to those applicants who don’t require visas. CHI-Ministries (CityHarvest International - ABN 54 076 018 751) and the Australian Prayer Network cannot be held responsible where visas are invalid or entry is denied. Of course if such an eventuality were to occur we would assist where possible. INSURANCE - Comprehensive travel insurance is compulsory and each person will need to submit a letter from their Doctor/GP stating that they are “fit to travel overseas and participate in this tour.” Pre-existing medical/health conditions must be disclosed to insurers to satisfy the small print of insurance policies to secure complete cover. AGENTS - All travel arrangements are made through third party suppliers. CHI-Ministries does not act for any supplier of services or goods, it is merely the tour coordinator and does not give any guarantee for services or goods provided. However, due care and diligence will be applied to sourcing quality services. ITINERARIES - Note that each tour is subject to minimum and maximum numbers and also that dates are subject to change until final confirmation of flights. ACCEPTANCE ON THE BOOTCAMP - Due to the nature of the Bootcamp, CHI-Ministries reserves the right to either accept or reject applicants by determination of the Tour Leaders. All applicants who have not previously travelled overseas on a prayer journey with CHI-Ministries (CityHarvest International) are required to provide a recommendation contact for their pastor or other suitable referee on their application form. PAYMENT AMOUNTS & SCHEDULE - The advertised price of $6,499 is subject to change due to currency fluctuations and flight availability. A depsoit of $500 is due with the application. If your application is unsuccessful or the tour is oversubscribed, your deposit will be immediately refunded. A flight payment of approx. $2,500 will be due upon comfirmation of the tour. The final payment to cover the balance will be due later, normally 3 months before departure. Also where the Australian Dollar falls significantly beyond the currency fluctuation contingency we’ve included in the price, you may be required to make an additional top-up payment. TOUR CANCELLATION – CHI-Ministries cancellation policy is to refund the balance beyond CHI-Ministries commitments to third party suppliers and any costs incurred to date. CHI-Ministries therefore requires that all participants secure adequate travel insurance as soon as you receive confirmation that your flights have been booked. CHI-Ministries require receipt of a written cancellation request before they can process any cancellation. in to our hotel on the Dead Sea. Dinner and early night. [D]Sat 02 Nov – Head out into the Negev to reflect on the ‘Desert

Fathers’ of the faith and modern Israel, visiting Abraham’s well of faith at Beersheba and Ben Gurion’s Sde Boker homestead. Jonathan Gould will exegete the Hebrew link between ‘word’ and ‘wilderness’, understanding the Biblical role of the desert as the place where God speaks. After reflecting on our ANZAC forebears at Australian Soldier Park we’ll return to our hotel on the Dead Sea. [B, D]

Sun 03 Nov – We’ll spend our morning praying and worshipping in the Judean Wilderness. After lunch at a Bedouin Camp we’ll visit the Fountain of Tears, an artistic sculpture exploring the connection between Jesus’ suffering on the Cross and the Jewish Holocaust. Returning to the Dead Sea, you’ll be able to enjoy an afternoon/sunset float in the mineral-rich waters. [B, L, D]

Mon 04 Nov – Having tasted the tears in the desert at the Earth’s lowest elevation, we’ll ascend on a cable car to the desert fortress of Masada, site of a mass Jewish suicide under Roman oppression. Here Brian Pickering will teach us the first of two onsite sessions. We’ll contemplate our Lord’s plan for the redemption of the Jewish people as we make our way up to Jerusalem and visit the incredibly evocative Garden of Gethsemane. Giving you time for personal reflection on the greatest day in history, we’ll then enter within the walls of the Old City of Jerusalem to the strategically important Christ Church, the oldest Protestant church in the Middle East. Staying in the Christ Church Guesthouse for the next three nights, directly opposite the Citadel and David’s Tower, is a real highlight. [B, D]

Tue 05 Nov – Waking up to the sights and sounds of the Old City of Jerusalem we’ll begin our two-day Isaiah 19 Highway Conference. You’ll have the pleasure of hearing from the Rector David Pileggi, who will give us a brief history of CMJ (Christian Mission to the Jews) and the church, with Ben Gray teaching on the

Conference. In the morning take part in a mercy ministry reaching out to Muslims in East Jerusalem at Pastor Mazen Nasrawi’s church, and later visiting the Western Wall, Garden Tomb and joining in 24-7 prayer & worship with Rick Ridings at Succat Hallel. [B, L, D].

Thu 07 Nov – We’l l drive north to Eitan Shishkoff ’s ministry Tents of Mercy to hear teaching from a respected Messianic congregational leader. After lunch, we’ll prayer-walk the streets of Haifa before visiting the Louis Promenade with incredible views over the city, before returning to our hotel in Haifa. [B, L, D]

Fri 08 Nov – Our day begins in Megiddo for an onsite study: The Harvestfield Comes Before the Battlefield. After lunch we drive to the northern border overlooking Lebanon and Syria to

visit serving Israeli soldiers. As Shabbat aproaches we’ll check-in to our resort hotel near the Sea of Galilee [B, D]

Sat 09 Nov – After breakfast, we’ll head to Nazareth, for a prayer meeting with Ps Nizar and his fellow Arab pastors. After we’ve had lunch together, we’ll give you the afternoon off to feel the rhythm of Shabbat, spend time with God and others as you take in this incredible location at our resort hotel in the Galilee. Sun 10 Nov – In the morning we’ll visit Capernaum, Jesus’ home town, to worship and do some onsite study on the shores of the Galilee. We’ll travel down the coast to the metropolis of Tel Aviv, which is normally overlooked by Christian tourists even though half the population of Israel lives there. Overnight in Tel Aviv. [B, D]

Mon 11 Nov – We’ll visit a Messianic ministry before visiting the old city of Jaffa to intercede for breakthough in Tel Aviv. Late afternoon we’ll head off to spend our last two nights at a Judean hillside retreat. [B, D]

Tue 12 Nov – After breakfast, we’ll hear from David Nekrutman from the Center for Jewish-Christian Understanding and Cooperation. Later, we’ll reflect on our Bootcamp experiences. [B, L, D]

Wed 13 Nov – Depart for airport. Expect to land in Australia late on Thursday 14th or early on Friday 15th. [B]
