THEMELibrary and Information Science (LIS) academic departments have witnessed not only this increasing globalization of higher education but also that of the LIS work place including the consequent extension of competition beyond traditional, institutional, national and regional boundaries. Web technologies are significant in the achievement of LIS educational goals/objectives and the fulfillment of the primary tasks of LIS Education. The main objective of this conference is to analyze dependency of the teachers and research scholars on e-resources, the perceived impact of the e-resources on their academic efficiency and problems faced by them while using the e-resources. study the impact of electronic resources and services on the academic work of the teachers and research scholars; know the productivity and quality of information retrieved through resources, and how emerging web technologies will be helpful for librarians to improve their services

PAPERS ARE INVITED ON THE FOLLOWING TOPICS :

• E- resources application • Impact of ICT on Library Services • Building e-resources for digital library• Digital Library Management Web Technologies Usage of E-resources in Academic Institution

INSTRUCTIONS TO THE AUTHORS:The paper should be based on experience and/or on some recorded application of cutting –Edge technologies in LIS.Final paper, not exceeding 2000 words in MS-Word (Times New Roman with font size 12 with 1.5 line spacing) should be sent before 31July 2013. Decision of the Editorial Committee will be final regarding selection of papers.
