Our picks Wenatchee August First Friday 5–8 p.m. Friday, multiple venues in Wenatchee, free, fb.com/ wenatcheefirstfridays Let’s hope it cools down this weekend, because you’re going to be outside — at least a little bit. The August Wenatchee First Friday event will take place in eight different venues, with a dozen or so attractions. Friday night, keep an eye out for the women of the Apple City Roller Derby team who will be handing out fliers and maps so you can plot your course. Maybe you’ll stop by Pybus Public Market and see Lance Dooley working on his 7-foot-tall statue of E.T. Pybus. Perhaps you’ll stroll past Tumbleweed and enjoy the live music of Wenatchee gentlemen Will Lukenmeyer and Mitch Byran. We’d even suggest getting something to nibble on at Lemolo Cafe and Deli before working your way across town to end the evening with live music in Centennial Park.
