For2016,planonjoiningusthesecondweekofJuneforagreatseriesofwritingeventscenteredaroundthethemeofwritingwild.SetinthebeautifulPineRidgeRegionofNorthwestNebraska,wewillgathertoexploretheuntamedterrainsofourlives:innatureandtheoutdoors,inourrelationshipswithoneanother,inourplaceandpurposeintheworld.ThefirsttwodayswillfeatureaRETREATforadvancedwriters,setathistoricFortRobinsonStatePark.Eventswilltakeplaceinthehistoric
buildingsandscenicspotsaroundthepark,andparticipantswilllodgeinthe1890BrickOfficerQuarters.Renownedwriterswillleadmorningsessionsfocusedoncraftingandimprovingourwriting,followedbyafternoonsessionsdesignedtogiveparticipantsachancetocreatenewworkandreceivefeedbackonthatworkduringtheretreat.OnSaturdaywewillmeetonthecampusofChadronStateCollegefortheGeneralWorkshopwherewewillpresentamixofhands-onworkshops,criticalfeedbackandinspiringinstructionfromacclaimedauthorsandteacherswhoarepassionateaboutwritingandcanhelpyougetpublished!WewillwrapitalluponSundaywithafestivalcelebratingtheworkofeveryoneinvolvedintheworkshop,frompublishedauthorstobeginners.WORKSHOPFACULTY:
