“25th & 50th” WEDDING ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION
Holy Innocents is planning a celebration on Sunday, October 7th for those parishioners who are celebrating their 25th or 50th Wedding Anniversary during 2018. Participants will be recognized at the 11am Mass followed by a reception in our Social Hall. If you are celebrating either Wedding Anniversary this year, please register with the parish office by calling 769-0025.
Vacation Bible School is one month away! This year VBS will be held at Emanuel Lutheran Church on Manville Road. We ask for your prayers during the final preparations. Join us in praying that God will fill the instructors, leaders, and volunteers with his love for each child. We pray that God instills in each child a desire to learn about His love for them. We pray that the parents will be excited to send their child for this beautiful week of prayer, fellowship, Bible stories, songs and crafts. BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT GROUP FOR PARENTS
A need has been identified in our parish for a Bereavement Support Group for Parents whose child has died. We are considering starting a group in September. If you are interested in being a part of this group, please get in touch with Christine Empey (home phone 914-741-5896; cell 914-948-3771). Be prepared to give her your name, phone number and e-mail address so that we can contact you with further information.

FOURTEENTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME July 8, 2018
First Reading: Ezekiel 2:2-5 Ezekiel is moved to respond to the call of God and to accentuate his teaching with a direct reference to the Word of God. Second Reading: II Corinthians 12:7-10 Paul had questioned the value of his suffering, and God replied, “My grace is enough for you, for strength is made perfect in weakness.” Paul then realized that although he was weak against persecution, he was strong in faith. Gospel: Mark 6:1-6 Jesus could do little for those in his own part of the country, for their lack of faith in him was so great. Therefore, he spent much of his time teaching in neighboring villages instead.

The Rosary Altar Society of Holy Innocents are a group of ladies who meet bi-monthly (the first Sunday of that month) at Our Lady of Pompeii Chapel after the 10:00am Mass.
Our mission is to help with the upkeep of the altars at both locations, and the upkeep of the OLP Chapel. We look forward to adding new members to our organization that can
bring fresh and new ideas for fundraisers and fun events that we can have to help promote the understanding and importance of the Rosary.
Please join us at our next meeting on Sunday, August 5th after the 10:00am Mass at OLP Chapel.

The Music Ministry of Holy Innocents offers our congratulations to those members of our Junior and Teen Choirs that are graduating from Grade School and Middle School respectively this year. The Junior Choir features young singers from 1
st through
6th grade and provides the music for the 9:00AM Mass
every Sunday. We congratulate our current fourth graders who are moving onto Middle School.

We are very fortunate to have musicians contribute their talents to our liturgies, and this year Caitlin Rubsamen joined us and plays flute with the Teen Choir at our Saturday 5:15PM Mass. We congratulate Caitlin on her Eighth Grade graduation and wish her the best as she moves on to High school. Our Teen Choir members are those in grades 7 through 12 and provide the music for our Saturday evening Vigil Mass at 5:15PM.
