The Boston Sock Exchange Ministry serves our homeless brothers and sisters on Boston Common. Please remember the homeless with seasonal clothing. We need men’s and women’s light spring coats and sweaters, tee-shirts, baseball hats,

rain ponchos, small folding umbrellas, small bottles of water, juice boxes, Gatorade, or other individual-sized non-carbonated drinks, mayonnaise, mustard, and granola bars. At this time we have enough socks. We need travel-sized personal care products in bulk to make packages for distribution as well as any type of medium-sized canvas bags, duffle bags, or tote bags. Join us in the Parish Center on Friday, August 11, at 7:00 PM to prepare sandwiches and to help organize donations. We are in need of volunteers to help with distribution on Saturday, August 12, at 11:00 AM on Boston Common. Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Parish Camping Trip - Do you need time set apart with your family this summer? Do you have a passion for the outdoors? Come and enjoy the friendship and company of our Parish family at the Fifth Annual Saint Agnes Parish Campout. The dates for the campout are Friday-Sunday , September 8-10 in Bourne, MA. Prayer Line - If you are in need of prayers, call the healing and restoration prayer line at 617-442-3938 (located at Mission Church, 1545 Tremont Street, Boston). Healing service is the last Sunday of the month at 2:00 PM.

Registrations for next year have been mailed. Please return them in a timely fashion so that we can make plans for the Fall. New students must be registered in person. Please bring the Baptismal Certificate (if not Baptized at Saint Agnes) to the Office of Religious Education in the Parish Center. Office hours: Monday-Thursday 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM or by appointment.

First Communion is a two-year program beginning in Grade One.

Cardinal Seán has directed that Saint Agnes and Saint Camillus Parishes will begin as a collaborative in June of next year, 2018. A collaborative is a structure within which several distinct parishes cooperate, to combine resources such as priests, staff and finances, to put toward our global effort of evangelization. Within the collaborative, our two parishes will begin this collaboration by sharing a pastor. We will share parochial vicars and key staff members. It is likely that the priests will live together in one rectory. The parishes will not combine bank accounts. Our offertories, and sacramental records, and capital needs will all be tracked separately.

Hearing the Gospel, we can trust that God knows our love and good deeds and that he will mercifully gather us into his kingdom. This week, please say a special prayer each day for the poor and forgotten in our Parish.

People living with depression : The Saint Agnes Depression Support Group will meet at 6:30 PM on Thursday , July 27, in the Parish Center. All are welcome - please join us! If you have any questions please contact Karen Celano at [email protected] or 516-946-6287.

Summer Day Camps for children in Kindergarten and 1st grade and our 62nd year of Summer Camp for grades 2-8 have limited

openings. Camps include swimming lessons, free swim time, trips, sports, arts and crafts, special events and more.

Preschool Summer Fun – Fidelity House's popular Preschool Summer Fun continues through August. Hours are 8:30-12:30 or 8:30-4:30 weekdays. Children may register for the week or for individual days.

“Play More Hoop” Basketball Clinic – August 7-10. Boys and girls in grades 6-11 are welcome. Guest speakers, hands on drills, full court games will be part of the clinic. Meets 9:30-3:30 Monday thru Thursday.

August Adventure Days- Fidelity House will be offering August Full Days for 6 – 13 year olds at the end of day camp up thru the start of the new school year. Trips, special events, sports, arts & crafts, and games are all part of the fun.

Preschool and Pre-K Openings – Fidelity House’s Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten Program have openings for September. The programs have half day and full day options. Children ages 2 year 9 months and up are welcome. The program is entering its 40th year.

Capital Campaign – Fidelity House is embarking on our first ever Capital Campaign “Building on Tradition”. Fidelity House has served the community with our many programs for children and adults since 1955.
