VEGETATION MANAGEMENT NOTICE “The Preserve” (Faria Preserve Property) Dear Neighbor, You are receiving this notice because your home is adjacent to the subject area or because you are a homeowner at The Preserve and should be aware that the goats are being brought into the Community for the specific purpose of vegetation management in conformance with the requirements of the San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District. Vegetative management for fire prevention is an essential service and operations will be conducted in accordance with the latest Shelter Order issued by Contra Costa Health Services. This year, Lennar will be using goats to reduce the vegetation in a 100’-wide area along the perimeter of the property. The goats will be controlled by fencing and managed by professional herders so they do not roam off the property. You may have seen similar vegetation management by goats in the East Bay Regional Park District parks, other open space, or in this area last year. The professional herders may post signs requesting that domestic pets be controlled and not be allowed to approach the goats. We ask that adults and children also not approach, attempt to pet or feed the goats. The goats will remain on the property days, nights and weekends, and the herders may also remain on the property, to ensure the safety and security of the goats. Both the herders and Lennar will be respectful of your property and privacy. The vegetation management is scheduled to begin April 21 st and is anticipated to be completed by May 31 st . You are receiving this notice because your property, home or business is located adjacent to the areas which will be grazed by the goats. VEGETATION MANAGEMENT NOTICE “The Preserve” (Faria Preserve Property)

Dear Neighbor,

You are receiving this notice because your home is adjacent to the subject area or because you are a homeowner at The

Preserve and should be aware that the goats are being brought into the Community for the specific purpose of

vegetation management in conformance with the requirements of the San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District.

Vegetative management for fire prevention is an essential service and operations will be conducted in accordance with

the latest Shelter Order issued by Contra Costa Health Services.

This year, Lennar will be using goats to reduce the vegetation in a 100’-wide area along the perimeter of the property.

The goats will be controlled by fencing and managed by professional herders so they do not roam off the property. You

may have seen similar vegetation management by goats in the East Bay Regional Park District parks, other open space,

or in this area last year. The professional herders may post signs requesting that domestic pets be controlled and not be

allowed to approach the goats. We ask that adults and children also not approach, attempt to pet or feed the goats. The

goats will remain on the property days, nights and weekends, and the herders may also remain on the property, to

ensure the safety and security of the goats. Both the herders and Lennar will be respectful of your property and privacy.

The vegetation management is scheduled to begin April 21st and is anticipated to be completed by May 31st.

You are receiving this notice because your property, home or business is located adjacent to the areas which will be

grazed by the goats. If you have questions regarding this vegetation management, please contact:
