L U C K Y B E A C H C A F E B R I G H T O N—Tucked inside a fisherman’s arch right on the beach, Lucky Beach Cafe serves up some of the best, mostly organic, food and drink in Brighton, all year round.

Headlining the seasonal menu are handsome hamburgers from native breed organic Sussex beef; locally landed fish (and chips) delivered that morning; and free-range chicken, eggs and pork from local farms. Even the cider and beer are brewed locally. It’s all very cool.

E X P E R I M E N T A L C O C K T A I L C L U B L O N D O N —Don’t be surprised if you walk past the battered black door several times before realising it leads to this bar filled with hip groups and dating couples absorbed in lively chatter.

The drinks are unusual and consistently outstanding, while small plates are fabulously French. Throw in a gently lit backdrop of minimalist brick walls and cut class tumblers and you’re left with an opulent yet cosy feel, which, once found, you won’t want to leave.
