“When you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you” (Matthew 6:6).When we consider issues impacting the world, our individual prayers can often feel inadequate as we long to see God’s work done. But be encouraged…prayers we offer in quiet times before the Lord are seen and known by our Father in heaven. In the passage above from Matthew that appears between the Sermon on the Mount and the Lord’s Prayer, Jesus explains how the Father wants us to pray. When we approach God in the quiet of our unseen places, the Father still sees us. The Father knows what no one else knows, sees what no one else sees, and hears our prayers regardless of how quietly they’re offered. We’ve all heard stories of how the Lord answered the prayers of Hudson Taylor, John Wesley, Corrie Ten Boom, and so many others whose lives have become well known over the years. But for every well-known prayer warrior, there are thousands of otherswhose names we will never know, steadfastly bringing the needs of individuals and the world to God in prayer.Thank you for faithfully praying for FEBC and our listeners around the globe. We rejoice with you as we see the work of the Lord being accomplished.Until all have heard,
