Dear member,

We are pleased to be able to deliver your closing remarks in this format. As the substance and quality of the WSLF format develops, it is important to be able to deliver a review of the content. Not only for everyone who attended and made it a great event. But, for the members who could not join us this year. “When we get together, great things happen” This was a quote I heard a lot over the conference and it is testament to you, our members and the quality you stand for. The dedication, passion and direction we all share for the networks is clear. This combined effort will see us raise the standards and help ensure your networks reach the true potential we strive for. Each and every one of you contributed. For me, it was great to be part of and the sense of comradery between you all is something to be proud of. For me, it means a great deal to work with you all and something I thoroughly enjoy. I would like to also use this opportunity to thank my colleagues at the WCA. The Conference team, for doing such an amazing job. Everything works seamlessly due to their efforts, I appreciate it and I am sure you all do, we owe them a lot. Our marketing teams in Bangkok and Miami really “get” what you guys do. This is important as we all work closely together to help make everything as relevant as we can for you all. Mr A, Ms Numfon do a great job in ensuring the image of the event is as we wish. The team in Miami headed by Kaitlyn are equally as dedicated at ensuring the right content reaches you for the benefit of your company’s and staff. With us all wanting the same, to have the “best” networks in the world, the members of WCA Perishables, WCA Time Critical & WCA Pharma have a great support team. We are here to support you, please lean on us. Special mention too must go to our Winners. For the first-time you guys voted, in numbers! Our winners are extremely proud and grateful for your recognition, long may it continue. You will read more of this as you continue through this edition. Enjoy the review of the conference, your votes for next year’s host city have been counted and I am pleased to say, see you next year in Bangkok! Dates have been set aside and I will be able to confirm for you very soon, watch this space!

GDP Training On Friday 23rd June 2017, history was created. 30 delegates, a mix of members and member partners sat the first dedicated WCA Pharma, GDP Training session. We have long been committed to helping make sure our members receive the recognition and attention deserved.

The session expertly hosted by Mr. Oliver Seroka was hailed as a great success. The comments from members were extremely positive. With a high pass percentage required, this was by no means a simple task for the members. The course had been strategically designed and presented to qualified members. We are delighted to confirm all delegates passed and were presented with their GDP Certification during the Gala Awards dinner the following evening.

A HUGE thanks to Oliver, for such a professional session. Thanks also to Allan Bach Christensen for his desire and drive to help make this happen.

“Special services to members”from Adam McKenna

The dedicated break out session was needed for the WCA Time Critical NetworkThe room requested was small and made up of several round tables in a bid to get members engaged and discussing business. The WCA Time Critical Network is extremely professional and made up of many great individuals and strong companies. The desire from WSLF2016 in Prague was to help this group develop “as one”.

Working in collaboration was the direction and focus. The energy in the room was good, as we wanted. It was passionate and professional, again, exactly what we wanted. The people in the breakout session have continued the discussion since Miami and are engaged on a WCA Time Critical online platform.

In the coming weeks, all WCA Time Critical members will receive and online validation form, this will need to be completed as part of the plans we have for helping to ensure the WCA Time Critical Network and its members help to create great things by working together in close collaboration.


1. WCA Time Critical Capacities Survey Was mentioned that is essential to make a structured survey / checklist of Time Critical capacities / services to all WCA Time Critical Members.

2. WCA Time Critical 24/7 Support Was mentioned that is very important to ensure that all WCA Time Critical Members have the capacity to provide 24/7 Support, properly audited on a regular basis.

3. WCA Time Critical 24/7 Email Automatic Response Was mentioned that is very important to ensure that all WCA Time Critical Members have Email Automatic Response, ie: “In case your email was not responded in 30 minutes, please contact following phone/mobile number available 24/7…”

4. WCA Time Critical contact sharing restrictions Was mentioned that is important to implement some contact sharing restrictions in WCA Time Critical Network, nowadays available to anyone, for any kind of services, instead of properly focused in Time Critical services.

5. Standard Operating Processes & Procedures Was considered a priority to share and standardize the Operating Processes & Procedures related with Time Critical Services, in order to leverage the quality of the services provided by all members inside WCA Time Critical Network.

6. WCA Time Critical Taskforce Was considered essential to setup a Task Force focused on Planning, Execution & Control of Top 5 WCA Time Critical Priorities per quarter, followed with monthly reviews (Conference Calls). Thanks for the participation and contribution of all WCA Time Critical members, actively involved in this Roundtable Session.

Concerning Roundtable Sessionmade during WCA World Specialty FairJune 23 - 26 2017 in Miami, following subjects were considered main priorities inWCA Time Critical network:

“6 points noted from the WCA Time Critical Breakout session - we want to share this to emphasize the importance of the break out session to all members who could not make the event.

Future messages will be coming out and we would appreciate everyone participate and be active in helping us, to help you ensure your network reaches the heights we all wish for.”


WCA Perishable Members LCL Temperature Controlled Ocean ConsolidationOver the past 18 months there has been a combined effort by “active” WCA Perishable members to help promote their services. LCL Temperature Controlled Ocean Consolidation has been readily available. The problem is, people have not known how to find the lanes available. The South Beach Lady Yacht was the chosen venue for our dedicated meeting on this subject. Many people wanted to attend, but, due to our desire to help promote the existing services, only members with active trade lanes and those with a clear desire to add lanes, could attend. A subsequent lunch meeting was arranged to continue the discussions and an online grouping will continue to promote these services. The WCA Perishables IT team, along with Kaitlyn and her marketing people are in the process of delivering an online platform to help members promote these services. Details will come out to you all very soon, in the meantime, keep a look out for your WCA Perishables Network and active members featuring on the WCA Daily Bulletin!


The WSLF2017 was absolutely worth attending. The members we met were the right ones to speak to. CargoSteps, our open and free real-time track & trace solution, got great feedback from the attendees. They explained us that our cross-company solution provides a real added value to their day-to-day business and some even signed up immediately at the fair.

LTS, Kuwait have long been a strong WCA Perishable member. Plans for Miami were evident during WSLF2016 in Prague.
