3 This designer chose to applique the stars to the Christmas tree tops a"er sewing the table runner block together. If you
prefer to applique the stars with a smaller work surface, just sew the tree tops together with the center fabric and add
your stars, then complete the Christmas tree block.

Star Templates
The star templates are appliquéd to the top of each Christmas Tree on your table runner. If
you prefer to use fusible web to a:ach them to your trees, use a blanket stch on your sew-
ing machine with red thread to further adhere them to your table runner. If you prefer to use
raw edge appliqué, use red thread to secure the stars. If you prefer to use the needle turned
method, please add your seam allowance to the templates above.
The key is to use some type of red thread to make your stars SHINE on top of your trees!
