Anzac Day on the Western Front 2018 9 NIGHTS 18–27 April 2018 Anzac Day 1918 marked Australia’s most important battle on the Western Front, the masterly recapture of the strategically vital village of Villers-Bretonneux. Join us in 2018 at the Australian National Memorial at Villers-Bretonneux to commemorate the 100th anniversary of this pivotal Australian action. Day 1 18 April Paris Meet your group in Paris and enjoy a welcome drink and dinner. (D) Day 2 19 April Paris Spend the day seeing the sights of Paris on a guided tour followed by free time. (B,L) Day 3 20 April Flanders We begin our battlefield journey today as we drive to Flanders. We will stop in the Champagne region and enjoy a tasting en route. (B, D) Day 4 21 April Ypres Enjoy a walking tour of the restored town of Ypres and attend the moving Last Post service at the Menin Gate Memorial to the Missing. (B) Day 5 22 April Ypres Salient Visit key Australian battlefields in the Ypres Salient including Hill 60, Polygon Wood and more. (B, L) Day 6 23 April Bruges A change of pace as we spend the day exploring the stunning medieval city of Bruges.
