FOR SALE – 1981 ANTONIO MARIN-MONTERO CONCERT GUITAR

65cm, spruce top, Brazilian rosewood back/sides, Honduran cedar neck. French polish redone by Marin in 1993, machine heads replaced by Fleta workshop in Barcelona. A few minor marks, but NO repairs or cracks!! Pegasus flight case.Provenance: A Robert Bouchet-Antonio Marin collaboration, described by Graham Wade as a “splendid example” in “The Classical Guitar: A Complete History”. Used by SLAVA GRIGORYAN on Sony Classical CD’s “Spirit of Spain” and “Dance of the Angel”, Carnegie Hall Debut 1998, Wigmore Hall Debut 1997, Finals of Tokyo Guitar Competition 1994, Darwin Guitar Festival 1995.

THE INSTRUMENT’S PROVENANCE:

This particular instrument is discussed by Graham Wade on p. 38 of John Morrish’s definitive book, “The Classical Guitar Book: A Complete History”, which features chapters on every major luthier, including Robert Bouchet, who collaborated with Antonio Marin Montero between 1979-1981.
