Casa Mila’s Façade resembles a cliff face sculpted by waves and its wrought iron bal-conies looks like seaweed
Casa Batllo main windows supported by stone columns shaped like bones
Sagrada Familia interior shows tree trunk columns Which provide stability and strength
Casa Batllo ceiling in the main room resembles shell like features

MATERIALS
Specifically chose to change the shape of the windows because Gaudi’s designs show a break be-tween tradition-al lines and forms
Elements: -stain glass -Curvilinear shaped windows
WINDOW FACADE
-Gaudi is well known for his bench’s at park guell so I want-ed to incorporate that into my space
-Kept the theme with the free flowing windows and continued them into the arch
-Fireplace was inspired from the fireplace in the main room at casa batllo
-Lights inspired from sagrada fa-milia
-Wanted to express the idea that things are in constant motion
FIREPLACE FACADE
Influenced from the columns in the sagrada familia
Model : used as a starting point
Sketched my model multiple times un-til I could figure out a way to ma-nipulate it so it could work in the space
MODEL PROCESS
First attempt: -ended up creating multiple abstract tubular-like pieces
-decided it wasnt GAUDI enough, i wanted to go bigger.
Second attempt:-Began to turn tubular struc-tures into architectural sculpture pieces that ended up resembling the leaning columns on the facade of the sagrada familia
SPATIAL PROCESS
PERSPECTIVE PROCESS
How can i be-gin to pull it all together as one space rather than as a series of exsisting ele-ments
FINAL EXHIBITION SPACE
Materials:
-Mosaic ceramic tile-Stained glass windows-Sandstone colour walls-Wooden sculptures
Intention of my exhibition was to create a space that expressed antoni gaudi as an artist and more specifically his distinctive style. Since he was so heavily influenced by his passion of nature, it was essential that I incor-porate architectural elements that expressed that as well
