My pop cultureI started to listen to random music since I was 4. However, I don’t remember what sort of music it was.

When I was 7, I started to like classical music, country, rap, and pop.

Now I like pop, jazz, early jazz, country, reggae and rock. Sometimes, I listen to classical music, too!

What type of music did I listen

to in the past? How did it affect

me?

When I was 7 and 8This was the first time I started to listen to known genres of music that I remembered.

I liked classical music, rap, country and pop.

When I was 9At this moment I stopped liking rap, instead, I started liking jazz.

Then, I liked classical music, country, jazz and pop!

When I was 10At this point I started liking rock & roll as well. Since then I liked

classical music, jazz, country, pop and rock & roll!

On the streets of Lisbon you could hear many types of music, especially Fado – national Portuguese music.

When I was 11When I turned 11, I began to listen to Early Jazz. I also started liking music I heard in movies and musicals.

So I liked classical music, jazz, early jazz, country, pop, movie music and rock & roll...

I love to sing – here I sing „The Festive Fa La La” by Los Lonely Boys during last year’s choir debut during the Christmas Concert.

How was I affected?The music that I listened to didn’t really change the way how I thought, talked or dressed (unless I had to dance to that music).

However, I did start developing my love of music and singing!

I also started humming or playing different songs!

What type of music do I listen

to now? How does influence

me?

Music I now love...I love thousands of types of music, assuming that I started liking reggae. I also stopped listening to classical music that much. Some of them are:

Why do I love music?Music makes my life more joyful and happier. Whenever I’m depressed, it’s music that cheers me up!!!

Music is very important in my life and it makes me deeply think about it.

Here are examples of interpretation of music that I like:

How do I listen to music?I listen to music on youtube, from a radio, or straight from my iPod.

And how do you listen to music?

How does music affect me now?Just like in the past, music doesn’t really affect the way I think, talk or dress (unless, again, I need to dance to that music).

Now I like singing and humming even more!

I also started liking watching musicals. The song „Do-Re-Mi” comes from my favorite musical, The Sound of Music. You have to opportunity to listen to it!

How did I dress in the past? How did it influence me?

Quick introductionHere, I can’t really say how I was influenced by how I dressed, especially I had my own, unique style!

Basically, I’ll just show how I dressed in the past, and you’ll be able to compare the styles of my clothes (colors, material, etc.)

Since I was born, until I was 11, I kept changing my style, although I dressed in the same type of clothes.

When I was 0 and 1When I was 0 and 1, I dressed in 2 ways – In pants and sweater, or simply in a crawler.

When I was 0 and 1, it was very important for me not to catch a cold, so that’s why I wore clawlers and sweaters.

I really liked going outside to our garden and „bragging” how coolly I was dressed to the people who walked on the streets.

As I said, when I was 1, I wore a sweater and pants. I’m also in my first shoes (they had butterflies )↓

Again, when I was 2 and 3, I had 2 styles – I either wore dungarees or simply a T-Shirt and shorts.

When I was 2 and 3

Basically, when I turned 3, I started dressing more „normally”. That’s how it mostly stayed for the rest of my life.

The age of 3, I wear a normal T-Shirt and shorts (and new shoes ) →

When I was 4 and 5Like I mentioned in the previous slide, I stayed in „basic clothes” for the rest of my life. That meant: T-Shirts, shirts, coats, jackets, jumpers, and long pants.

When I was 6 and 7So, again, this is me in short sleeves and shorts. As you probably noticed, all those pictures were taken in spring/summer. In winter, I wear a coat and long pants.

With the age of 7, I still wear a T-Shirt and shorts!!! →

When I was 8 and 9

However, when I turned 8, bracelets became fashionable, and I wear one, too. I change them from time to time, but when I don’t have one, I feel like I lost a part of my body....

← I’m 9 years old, and I’m still wearing a T-Shirt, shorts, and sandals. Unluckily, the moment this picture was taken, I wasn’t wearing my bracelet.

When I was 10 and 11I still wore the same sort of clothes.

How do I dress now? How does it

influence me?

Quick introductionBasically, I want to say that now I wear things that I see others wear.

For example, ZARA is very popular, and I mostly wear clothes from ZARA.

Other brands of clothes I wear are: H&M, Marks&Spencer, Reserved and Tommy Hilfiger.

Extra fashion...I also wear different accessories.

As I said earlier, I wear a bracelet all the time.

But sometimes, I also wear individual or religious necklaces!!!

And future?I bet that in the future, I’ll change my style. It is afterall predicted, that we will live on a different planet....

I will probably wear something that is similar to a space suite or something like that.

However, I’m not sure like it will be in future.

What movies do I watch / watched? How does / did it

influence me?

Quick introductionThere are too many movies that I watched during my whole life to post on this presentation.

It was mostly cartoons / serials that affected my life (I also watched somemovies based on those cartoons / serials..

I was affected in many ways. I started repeating / talking many things I saw in serials (also known as „TV Series”). However, more ways are individual for each serial.

There were 2 early movies / serials I watched.

My first movies (ages 1-3)

It was Teletubbies and a Czechoslovakian movie for kids, Krtek (Little Mole).

I was affected by looking at the fun and joy of life. I also repeated some things they said in the movies. I also had a lot of things with Krtek – a mug, a toy, a birthday cake, and a whole set of VHC cassettes!

My earliest cartoons (ages 2-6)The first serials I

watched were cartoons. It was Tom & Jerry and Scooby Doo. By the age of 5, I had all episodes memorized from both cartoons!!!

I stopped watching Tom & Jerry, but I still watch Scooby Doo.

My later cartoons (ages 6-12)At the age of 8, when

I discovered Boomerang, I watched Hong Kong Fui, Looney Tunes, and Roborach. I watched that until the age of 10.

Today, the only cartoon I watch from those are Looney Tunes. I also watch Phineas and Ferb and random Walt Disney Cartoons.

How was/am I affected?I watch Scooby Doo, Looney Tunes, Phineas & Ferb, and Walt Disney cartoons.

I’m affected, because those shows woke up my love to travel and solve different types of simple mysteries. I also sometimes quote what they said in those movies.

My earliest serials (ages 6-9)When I was 6, I

watched random Polish soap operas thst my mom watched. If there were cartoons running at the same time, I watched them.

When I was 8, I discovered Disney Channel, and watched That’s So Raven, The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, and Cory in the House.I don’t watch any of

those anymore.

How was/am I affected?Now I watch many serials! And they all most definitely affect me!

How? Those movies make me look at the world in the positive / funny way. I also sometimes quote what I heard in a movie.

Quick introductionBy „language trends” I mean the way I talk -- and why I talk like that.

I talk like anyone else, just often I make hand gestures. I also sometimes quote things from movies!

How do I talk?I talk a lot. And I talk normally. When I talk, i make a lot of hand gestures! Here are ways how I can talk. Red words are the ones I want to explain -- why do I say them.

Hi Marie, did you hear this story? No, LOL, I need to tell you! So, that day I went to a shop to buy some eggs. And then, OMG, came out that girl with a giant afro! Can you believe?

Y’hello Bob! I really, really, really hate people who think they’re cooler than the others! One day, Sussanna came up to me and said „Antoni. I want there and saw that... Bla bla bla... And I’m cooler than you, cause I have money!”. I made a great comeback, so that she would walk away: „Hey Sussanna, I got lost after ‘Antoni’, all I heard afterwards was bla ,bla bla, bla bla”. AND she actually walked away!

I start many sentences with that to give them emphasis

Oh My God

A mixture of Yes and Hello, I heard it in some movie and started repeating it.

I repeat words to give them emphasis.

When I want to skip to my point, I say „Bla bla bla...” and then say what I wanted to.

I heard this in a movie. When someone bugs me, I say that and they walk away!

Capitalized words mean „louder”. I emphasise some words by saying them louder than other words.
