OVERVIEWMEDIHONEY® Antibacterial Honey Gel Sheet is a non-adherent dressing consisting of 100% Medical Grade Manuka Honey combined with Sodium Alginate.
FEATURES AND BENEFITS
• Contains 100% Medical Grade Manuka Honey (80% by weight)
• Promotes autolytic debridement through the osmotic action, effectively removing necrotic tissue and wound slough1
• Low pH of 3.5 – 4.5, which has been associated with a lower pH of the wound environment 2, 3
• Helps to reduce malodour 4
• Has been safely used on patients of all ages, including paediatrics and neonates1
• The dressing may be cut to fit within the wound margins, for deeper wounds the dressing can be loosely packed within the wound bed (dressing should not overlap the wound margins)
• Non-adherent and allows for non-traumatic removal, minimising discomfort to patients
