Me and a herbalist

I met a herbalist in Kezmarok

Her little shop offers a wide variety of tea and herbal extracts. She also deals with Chinese natural healing (Feng-Shui)

In my opinion natural healing is very effective

Tea

Tea is usually prepared by infusing leaves of a tea plant in hot water

According to Chinese myth tea was discovered by the Chinese emperor Šen-nung 5000 years ago

Different types of tea

Green tea – drying takes about one or two days

Oolongy - it is something between green and black tea

Black tea – drying takes a week

Pu-erh - drying takes several years

White tea – it is only made of buds and upper leaves

Packing tea

It was discovered by a wholesaler John Horniman who came up with an idea to pack tea into a teabag

The origin of a teabag dates back to 1904

Unusual type of packing – „compressed tea bags“ – was used because of better transport

Ways of drinking tea In China and Japan they usually drink pure tea

In Britain they like drinking tea with milk

Ice tea was discovered in the USA

A teapot was discovered in Australia

In Maroco they like drinking tea with sugar and peppermint leaves

In Russia they use a samovar with an extract. In Turkey is used a very similiar way of drinking and people like strong tea

In Slovakia we prefer drinking herbal teas. We usually drink them plain or with honey.

Recipe for my own tea I decided that to make my own tea called:

„Tea of happiness“

It is delicious and healthy tea which makes a good mood

Ingredients: a mixure of the same amount of verbena, peppermint, small-leaved lime and camomile

It is used for improving appetite, stimulating central nervous system, for migraine, headache and tiredness

Verbena

Peppermint It helps digest food better, calms down and strengthen

your body

Small-leaved lime

It is popular domestic remedy in the treatment of colds, flu and it lowers fever. It is considered to have anti inflammatory properties

Camomile

this herbal tea eases insomnia, improves your immune system, disinfects the wounds, calms an upset stomach and it has countless beauty benefits

Why do not drink coca-cola?

The main problem is sugar. Did you know that one glass of coke contains 10 teaspoons of sugar? So when you drink a bottle of coke you get 44 teaspoons of sugar into your body.

Drinking coca-cola

will destroy your teeth, bones and will make you extremly fat and unhealthy. The active ingredient in coke is phosphoric acid. It will dissolve a nail in about four days. So if you want to drink healthy, drink water or tea instead of coke.

Did you know that coke is used as a domestic cleaner? It removes rust, blood and grease stains, cleans car battery and even cleans a toilet. Unbelievable!!! Coca-cola is a very useful product, however not for drinking.

So what would you like to choose now? A cup of tea or a glass of

coke?
