The family and friends of the bride dress her up and it is a tradition for someone to hide the shoe of the bride. And the maid of honor has to bribe the person who hid the shoe to finish dressing the bride.

After all of the dressing is complete and the groom sees the bride. Everyone goes outside to dance and celebrate before entering the limo to drive to the church. Usually it is so loud that everyone of the street comes out to see what is going on.

Since Armenians are Christians the ceremony is taken place in God’s House. This wedding took place at St. Peters Church in North Hollywood. In order for the couple to get married, both the bride and the groom have to be baptized.
