ANTHONY LEACH BIOGRAPHY

Creative, versatile and driven are three words that would describe Anthony Leach. From Indianapolis, Indiana, Leach graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Affairs Management in 1987. He then began a fast track career with Pepsi-Cola. After only 6 months, he was promoted to District Manager becoming the youngest district manager in the country at age 22.

After being promoted twice in three years at Pepsi and having as many as 16 direct reports, Leach moved to Heublein, Inc., a wine and spirits company, in 1990 as a state manager for Indiana with responsibility for $30 million in revenue through a distributor. Leach twice was honored with the Ring of Achievement award for being in the Top 5 in the country in sales volume for two consecutive years and received a national marketing award for his promotional poster for Christian Brothers Brandy.

Leach relocated to Chicago in 1992 where he continued an accomplished sales management career working for solid Fortune 500 companies like The NutraSweet Company (Monsanto) and Nabisco (Phillip Morris) as a national account manager with responsibility for major accounts such as the Pepsico account group, Eby-Brown, Shell, Amoco and Walgreens. He was also given an interim assignment as a director while at NutraSweet managing national account managers and the Welch’s, Ocean Spray and Canfield’s businesses. While in Chicago in 1997, Leach also tested his entrepreneurial spirit as a magazine publisher for Urban Life magazine, a local/regional, general editorial magazine geared towards the African-American market. He was able to attract top advertisers such as Hanes, Ameritech, Smirnoff Vodka, Phillip Morris, V103 Radio and Mercedes Benz. The magazine was featured in Chicago Sun-Times, Chicago Tribune and Chicago Defender and was also featured on Minority Business Report, a national TV show.

Leach returned to Indianapolis in 2000 to work for Miller Brewing Company as a senior manager for a top 10 U.S. distributor. Leach also spent 8 years in the Pharmaceutical industry for Takeda and was rewarded for his efforts with the Most Excellent Player regional award in 2004, 2006 and 2008. Most recently, he ran a successful insurance agency with Farmers Insurance and was a Managing Partner with JD Byrider. He is now President of 350 Communications, a publishing and communications entity.
