"sophisticated" cities
in Italy that attract.
Made from Tzamalis Panagiotis student at the 2nd grade of Lyceum.
Leave Rome and Venice for the other tourists
and take a tour in 5 "secret" cities of Italy,
free from the ... bunch of Greek tourists
located somewhere near you on every trip.
Montalcino: drink wine from the source ...
South of Siena, a Tuscan hill, Montalcino overwhelmed by vines and olives,
and is home to one of the most famous wines in the world, the Brunello di
Montalcino. This is a city full of odors, smells delicious after a day everywhere
sweets preparing traditional pastry around the main square and in the evening
the Tuscan cuisine with polenta and wild boar with fresh tomato sauce ... will
tickle your sense of smell.
Bergamo: a breath of Milan
The province of Bergamo is located in the region of Lombardy in northern Italy and is from Milan, 45
km, from which overshadowed, as directed in the most famous city to do their shopping. Bergamo,
however, has another atmosphere, very different. Very often surrounded by fog, and very close to
Lake Iseo, on a hill at the foot of the Alps. The city include Venetian Walls and their combination
with the historic center and the piazza Vecchia, as the church of Santa Maria Maggiore, gives the
city a very special air, air past. If you are athletic types, the winter you can ski and snowboard and
summer hiking and cycling, as Bergamo offers various activities, but do not forget while you sip
cappuccino at one of the quaint cafes and taste the famous cake Polenta e Osei.
Luka: medieval getaway
If you are in the region of Tuscany, the small provincial town Lucca deserves
to be a milestone in your excursion, which will make you travel back in time.
Even if you stay in a modern hotel or meet some tourists - as the site's
popularity rises continuously, without meaning that you will achieve hordes
touriston- the experience of visiting this city will make you feel like you've
entered the time machine.
Syracuse: scented Greece
Southeast of Sicily, Syracuse, which was founded by the ancient Greeks 733
BC, you will find probably the most hospitable and kind people of the whole
of Italy, eager to serve you, to discuss and treat you. The restaurants on the
seafront you can try traditional dishes like local frutta di mare salad and
pasta with sardines.
Matera: there in the South
If your city looks like it is something out of a biblical film is because actually is, since there filmed
the "Passion of Christ", the "King David", the "Gospel of Matthew" and "History of the Nativity."
Located in the southern region of Basilicata west of Bari and has a primitive aura that excites
visitors. The oldest part of the city, known as «The Sassi» is filled with caves that were the homes of
people before 9000 years, but if history is not your item do not worry. You can take to gastronomy
and taste the local bread semidaliti, orekiete pasta, wine and certainly the local liqueur called
«rosolio» and made from rose petals. Matera is located just 50 kilometers away from Bari. Check
the next flights and close location!
You may have visited Rome, Milan, Florence and other Italian cities known in
the past, but this does not mean that "closed" in our neighboring country.
Why good Colosseum, the Leaning Tower, the canals and gondolas, but the
meaning of tourism not only hiding behind the hallmark of every country, but
in its natural wealth in less touristy places that highlight the true beauty. And
there probably will not find the Japanese flock to the latest camera models,
nor will "get" other Greeks shouting in your language and you think you're
even back to Greece.
