Anolytech Disinfection System™

Germs are costlyBacteria, viruses, fungi and other microorganisms are everywhere. They often constitute a major problem at enterprises that work with animals as they spread disease and cause general ill health; in addition they weaken the immune system in healthy animals and divert strength and energy away from the animals’ growth and development.Bacteria cost money in the form of lower production and non-realised income, expensive chemical treatments, more antibiotics, environmental impact and an unhealthy working environment for staff.

Low germ levels translate into lower costs, higher profits and a better environment

Industrialised livestock rearing is more commonly

known as “Factory Farming”. When numerous

animals are raised together in limited space, this pro-

vides the perfect setting for bacteria, spoors, mould,

fungi and viruses to grow. The animals can cope with

these microorganisms in natural surroundings, but in

an industrialised setting, rapidly spreading bacteria

and viruses will inevitably have a negative impact

on the animals’ growth and result in higher levels of

illness and mortality. Today, the principal approach

to combating this risk involves the use of chemicals

and antibiotics. Unfortunately, this approach is not

sustainable in the long term.

The layout of the stalls – including the walls, floor

and ceiling – features almost perfect conditions for

microorganisms to thrive and multiply.

Bacteria are everywhere

However, pipe systems and drinking water instal-

lations always contain a residual layer of biofilm that

has been built up by microorganisms, and even when

cleaning is performed regularly and thoroughly, this

biofilm quickly returns.

Our bodies contain a natural defence against

bacteria and microorganisms. It uses what is known

as hypochlorous acid (HClO), which is produced by

our white blood cells.

Hypochlorous acid has a proven effect in com-

bating bacteria, viruses, spoors and fungi. The acid

attacks and destroys the protein in the microorgan-

ism. It has also proved effective against multiresistant

bacteria.

As our aim is to turn the use of disinfectant agents

in a safe and eco-friendly direction, we have devel-

oped Anolytech Disinfection System™, which is the

result of many years of development and use in a

variety of different enterprises.

Anolytech Disinfection System™ uses only water,

salt and electricity to produce Anolyte-PC™. Thanks

to Anolytech Process Control™ with advanced pH-

control, Anolyte-PC™ features a high content of nature’s

own disinfectant – hypochlorous acid (HOCl) –

which is highly effective against all bacteria and

viruses that spread infection. As a bi product in the

process of producing Anolyte-PC™, a sodium based

detergent called Catholyte-PC™ is also produced.

Catholyte-PC™ is very effective in solving proteins

and fat.

We have a unique solution: – Anolytech Disinfection System™

Since hypochlorous acid is already produced and

used by our white blood cells to kill microorganisms,

it has no effect on animals or staff. In addition to the

reduced risks in the working environment, hypochlo-

rous acid is also approved by EU* as an environ-

mentally safe product, and the fact that it is biode-

gradable is something both we and the environment

benefits from.

The Anolyte-PC™ is automatically and continu-

ously distributed to multiple areas of use in the

production setup at the same time. Both distribution

and dosing are simple to program with full control of

all applications – in the drinking water, for fogging,

for cleaning pens, for high-pressure hoses, for hoof

and wound care, and much more besides.

What makes Anolytech unique on the market is

that we have developed an exact and well-function-

ing control of the process, which we have named

Anolytech Process Control™.

Hypochlorous acid is classed as “fresh goods”,

wich means that Anolyte-PC™ is prepared on site

where it is to be used. The syntetic production

of hypochlorous acid is performed by electrolys-

ing a cooking salt solution. The highest content

of hypochlorous acid is achieved when the solu-

tion maintains a neutral pH level of between 6

and 7. Anolytech uses a refined system in which

the pH levels are controlled with great accuracy.

This guarantees a continuously high content of

hypochlorous acid while simultaneously ensuring

that the volume of salt in the solution is kept low

(to minimise corrosion). A high level of hypochlor-

ous acid also ensures low content of less desirable

chlorine compounds.

You can use the Anolytech system even when

the animals still are in their stables. From the very

start, the system has been developed for use

in settings where animals are present. We have

extensive experience in this field, so you can feel

safe when installing an Anolytech system at your

enterprise.

How to use Anolytech Disinfection System™

Drinking water

When you add Anolyte-PC™ to drinking

water, you can be sure that the resulting

water will contain a minimum of harmful

bacteria, viruses, spoors and mould fungi, and that

your drinking water system is free from biofilm.

Process water

By dosing Anolyte PCtm in the process

water, for example in high pressure

cleaners and hoses, you get a disinfecting effect

in all cleaning without having to rinse away excess

chemicals. This means time saving and safer work-

ing environment for your staff. You can also feel

safe that no harmful chemicals are left behind after

disinfection.

Fogging

Fogging with Anolyte-PC™ is very

effective. In addition to keeping dust

levels down and generally disinfecting the premises,

it lowers contagion of airborn diseases such as

pneumonia. Anolyte- PC™ significantly improves the

Versatility

Economical €Anolyte-PC™ is inexpensive to produce. Low energy

consumption combined with the low cost of salt pro-

duce operating costs of around 0,001 € per litre of

concentrate or 1 € per 1000 litres. This means that

you always have plenty of effective, cheap and ecof-

riendly disinfectant and detergent readily available.

In livestock farming a reduced bacterial pressure

improves growth, lower the feed ratio and results

in healthier animals, which in turn provides a better

profitability of your production.

Environmentally friendly

When the hypochlorous acid has been used, the

solution decomposes into its component parts,

where 99,5% is water and the remaining 0,5%

is biodegradable. For this reason, you can pour

Anolyte-PC™ straight into the drain without con-

cern. On account of its eco-friendly components,

you can also use Anolyte-PC™ as an effective

disinfectant in sensitive environments such as

organic production systems, food production sys-

tems and the like.

Approval

Anolyte-PC™ has been approved by the EU for the

disinfection of drinking water, for use in veterinary

medicine and in food processing.

Anolyte-PC™ can also be used in organic food

production, and there are no limits on drain

disposal.
