Dear Stakeholders,
On behalf of Governing Council Members and on my behalf, I am pleased to present 3rd Annual Report of Furniture & Fittings Skill Council (FFSC). The report captures the progress made by FFSC during the last one year.
I am indeed privileged to be associated with this Council which works with the objective of establishing an effective and efficient ecosystem for the furniture and fittings industry. FFSC is working hard to meet the skilled manpower needs of the furniture & fittings industry.
During last one year FFSC has successfully certified 7866 candidates in short term training programme of Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojna (PMKVY II). In RPL, 63,454 candidates were successfully certified in PMKVY II scheme. I am glad that FFSC is working for the beneficiaries of National Backward Classes Finance and Development Corporation, National Scheduled Castes Finance and Development Corporation and National Safai Karmacharis Finance and Development Corporation under the aegis of Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment. Recently, FFSC has signed the MoU with National Backward Classes Finance and Development Corporation to start a pilot project of skill development training of beggars in Bihar and West Bengal. This effort will help in mainstreaming the underprivileged community of the society.
FFSC is also operating two mobile skill vans “Kaushal Rath” in the state of Jharkhand for doing the RPL programme in the remotest corner of the state. The vans are enabled with GPS system and provides real time location for a better monitoring.
In order to provide employment opportunities to its certified youths, FFSC has tied up with Housejoy and Skillemployee.com and has also launched own online job portal www. ffscmerahunar.com. As a regular activity FFSC organised meet for affiliated Training Partners and Assessment Agencies. These meetings act as a knowledge sharing platform for all our stakeholders and help in raising the standards of training and assessment.
Quality of skill development training is crucial for FFSC. FFSC has been taking efforts and initiatives for strengthening its commitment towards Skill India Mission by putting in place an effective training delivery mechanism. However, even today skilling is perceived as the last resort meant for those who have not been able to progress in the formal academic system. This mental block has only increased the gap between what the industry requires and what is currently available. We have to work together to minimise this gap. For this we need support from all of you.
I take this opportunity to express my deep appreciation for the valuable support given by industry members, training partners and assessment agencies from time to time. I convey my special thanks to all the esteemed stakeholders of the Council for their constant cooperation and reposing continued confidence in this Council. I am confident that with all your support we will bring distinguishable changes in the lives of the unemployed youths. Once again, I thank you all for your support and trust. I hope we will get your support in all our future endeavours. I always need your support, guidance and collaborative effort to move FFSC in the right directon.

Dear Stakeholders,
Skilling has emerged as one of the most pressing issues before the country and serious deliberations are on for finding ways to fill up the demand gap for skilled carpenters. This is a dire need, and the problem is not about the number of workmen available, but about the unavailability of enough people with the right skill set.
Labour cost accounts for 12-15% of the cost of furniture in India, and more than three million people are engaged in the INR 1,00,000 crore furniture sectors within its industrial units or as freelance carpenters. The real problem is not with the number of workmen available in the market, but with their not having the right skills.
The industry is in a transformational stage, we are witnessing a shift from conventional carpentry to modular furniture. This is creating a demand for workers with varied skills including ability to work on modern machines such as CNC routers and beam saws, ability to use modern hardware, skills to assemble ready to assemble/ flat packed furniture at the customer’s place, and ability to use modern tools and processes and work with different types of wood substitutes. It is evident that if the carpenters are not up-skilled or re-skilled to meet the industry needs, their employability will be adversely impacted. If end consumers get the right material at the right price in right manner, that is fitted properly, they can have quality furniture made at a much lower cost. If the carpenter knows how to fit, drill, what to use and where, he will be able to complete the work more efficiently. I am happy that FFSC is working towards meeting the requirement of industry.
FFSC is in a constant endeavour to set high benchmarks for furniture and fittings training and development. I am pleased that FFSC has created a pool of more than 600 trainers and assessors till July 2018 for imparting quality training. The use of power tools, introduction of test projects, online assessment, surprise visits, stringent monitoring process are few of the initiatives taken by FFSC. I hope and believe the efforts of spearheading a number of activities have benefited the ecosystem.
I with my stakeholders of FFSC want to build a skilled workforce for the industry. Our initiative will benefit end users, carpenters and of course the entire industry.

If the carpenter knows how to fit, drill, what to use and where, he will be able to complete the work more efficiently. Then only we can say our trainees have been properly skilled.
To conclude, FFSC has always given emphasis on an inclusive and sustainable skill ecosystem for the furniture and fittings domain. As I look ahead, I see unprecedented opportunities for our skilled manpower as the Indian economy accelerates ahead. We envisage better placement linked quality oriented training.

Dear Stakeholders,
India is known for its traditions, cultures, heritage and it has established its reputation in the field of wood crafts and furniture. The Indian wood and furniture industry mainly dominated by unorganised sector which makes a marginal contribution to the nation’s GDP. The Indian furniture industry is gradually transforming into a more organised and competitive sector. The entry of global brands in the market, emergence of large retail players and the increase in domestic demand have been contributing this transformation. With major emphasis placed on digitalisation, integration and automation, and fourth industrial revolution the furniture industry is getting redefined. These changes in turn requires right skilled manpower in the industry. Here the role of FFSC becomes crucial in developing and strengthening the training skill ecosystem in India.
Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE), Government of India, has made industry friendly amendments to the Apprenticeship Act to expand the scope across manufacturing and services sectors and ensure successful implementation of the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPs). Under the scheme, Government of India will share 25% of the prescribed stipend subject to a maximum of INR 1500/- per month per apprentice with the employers. In addition, Government of India will also share the training cost subject to a maximum of INR 7500 per apprentice with the Basic Training Providers. I request you all to support to enrol apprentices by registering on the Apprenticeship portal. It will help in reducing the skill gaps one of the biggest challenges faced by the employers in getting the right skilled people.
RPL with Best in Class Employers has been introduced by Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE), Government of India to enhance the industry acceptability of RPL certification and extend the outreach of the scheme directly to reputed employers/ industries across sectors. This scheme will benefit both the employees and employers. I urge to the industry members to come forward and get their employees certified under RPL – Best in Class Employers.
The regional competitions for selection of candidates IndiaSkills 2018 has been completed. The selection of candidates for Nationals IndiaSkills 2018 is under process. The selected candidates will represent India in Joinery & Cabinet Making trades at WorldSkills 2019, Kazan, Russia. Here the role of industry is vital in providing world class training to the selected candidates for representing WorldSkills 2019.
We also need to continuously update our training programmes, curriculum, contents to ensure our trainees are exposed to latest technology and industry environment. We have a great scope and potential to work together for fulfilling the Skill India Mission. For this we need support from all of you. Our dream is to create opportunity for jobs as well as self-employment with dignity and respect for our youth which can provide them higher wages & dignified livelihoods.

PRADHAN MANTRI KAUSHAL VIKAS YOJANA (PMKVY)-II
Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) is the flagship scheme of the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE). The objective of this Skill Certification Scheme is to enable a large number of Indian youth to take up industry-relevant skill training that will help them in securing a better livelihood. The key components of the scheme is Short Term Training (STT), Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), Special Projects, Kaushal and Rozgar Mela, Placement Assistance, Continuous Monitoring, Standardized Branding and Communication.

NATIONAL BACKWARD CLASSES FINANCE & DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION (NBCFDC)
NBCFDC is a Govt. of India Undertaking under the aegis of Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment. NBCFDC works with an objective to promote economic and developmental activities for the benefit of Backward Classes and to assist the poorer section of these classes in skill development and self-employment ventures. NBCFDC provides financial assistance through State Channelizing Agencies (SCAs) nominated by the State Governments/UTs. NBCFDC also provides Micro Financing through SCAs/ Self Help Groups (SHGs). FFSC has signed MoU with NBCFDC for providing skill development training in different job roles of furniture & Fittings.

NATIONAL SCHEDULED CASTES FINANCE AND DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION (NSFDC)
NSFDC was setup by Government of India for functioning exclusively for the development of Scheduled Castes. It has been assigned the task for financing, facilitating and mobilization of funds for the economic empowerment of persons living below the poverty line. In 2017-18, FFSC has skilled the unemployed youth under the sponsorship of NSFDC.

FFSC and Housejoy have entered into an agreement during January 2018 to add value to the skill development programme by providing employment and entrepreneurship opportunities to the skilled, trained manpower in furniture and fittings sector. Housjoy will raise their demand in terms of experienced, trained and skilled manpower in furniture and fittings sector according to the approved job roles of FFSC. The skilled manpower will be shortlisted by Housejoy. They will be contracted by Housejoy as a service partner and will be benefitted by getting work from Housejoy.

certified trainees. In an effort to reduce the gap between the potential employer and the trainees, FFSC has signed MoU with Skillemployee.com. This unique online portal connects entry level, mid-level and blue collar jobs seekers with mainstream employers anywhere in India. This venture will help to give job solution to the candidates and skilled manpower to the employers.
MoU SIGINING WITH SWEDISH WOOD
FFSC signed MoU with Swedish Wood at India Wood, 10th International Trade Fair for knowledge sharing, procurement of raw material, expertise for skill competition, and mapping of curriculum with the international training module. The Deputy Trade Commissioner of Sweden to India Mr Magnus Anderson and Ms Charlotte Dedye Apelgren, Director Interior and Design at Swedish Wood, were present during the signing of the MoU. In India, the Swedish sawmill industry sees a potential to support the Indian furniture and joinery industry with high quality Swedish pine. The total Swedish production of sawn and planed timber is 18 million cubic meters, whereof 13 million cubic meters are exported, making Sweden the third largest exporter in the world, by volume of sawn and planed timber. Sweden exports sawn timber mainly to Europe, North Africa, the Middle East and Asia.

MoU SIGNING WITH BHARTIYA SKILL DEVELOPMENT UNIVERSITY (BSDU)
BSDU, the first State Private University which offfers Certificate, Diploma, Advance Diploma, Bachelor of Vocational Studies (B.Voc), Master of Vocational Studies (M.Voc) and Ph.D in various skill areas. BSDU programs are aligned with UGC compliances for Vocational Programs, National Skills Qualifications Framework (NSQF) and AICTE. The training program is based on Swiss Dual System comprising of “On the job Training” and “Vocational School” which has been adopted after carrying out due modifications to suit the Indian industry. FFSC and BSDU signed the MoU to partner in skill development initiatives to promote the skilling in furniture & fittings trade.

TRAINING OF MASTER TRAINERS
NSDC has organised a program for Training of Master Trainers focusing on delivery skills in collaboration with Management Sector Skill Council. The first pilot batch of a 3-day long training program from 7th to 9th September 2017, was held at NSDC office, New Delhi. 22 Sector Skills Councils nominated Master Trainers under the Training of Master Trainer’s Program (ToMT). FFSC has also nominated its Master Trainer for the ToMT.

INAUGURATION OF NSIC TRAINING
WORLD SKILLS, ABU DHABI 2017
1251 young people from 59 WorldSkills Member countries and regions showcased their skills across 51 skill-trades from 15th to 18th October 2017 at Abu Dhabi. This was the first time that the WorldSkills Competition has been held in Middlle East region. A young team of 28 participants in 26 skill categories represented India this year led by NSDC, under the guidance of Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE).
Team India has bagged one Silver (Mohit Dudeja, for Patisserie and Confectionery), one Bronze (Kiran Sudhakar, for Prototype Modelling) and Nine Medallion of Excellence (for trades mechatronics, bricklaying, restaurant service, automobile technology, jewellery, graphic design technology, mobile robotics, beauty therapy and car painting) at the 44th WorldSkills competition, Abu Dhabi. Mr Mohit Dudeja also won the “Best of Nation” award for receiving the highest marks among the Indian Contingent. FFSC competed for the first time in WorldSkills. Mr Anant Kumar represented FFSC in Cabinet Making competition.

Two “Kaushal Raths” or “Skills on Wheel” of Furniture & Fittings Skill Council were flagged off by Smt. Rajbala Verma, Chief Secretary, Government of Jharkhand on the occasion of “Employer Summit” organised by Jharkhand Skill Development Mission Society. The Kaushal Raths will reach remotest rural villages of Jharkhand for conducting the RPL of the carpenters at their doorsteps. These vans are equipped with modern tools and equipment of carpentry trade. This initiative of JSDMS and FFSC will help in skilling and certifying the work-force involved in this un-organised sector.
SKILL SUMMIT 2018, MOMENTUM JHARKHAND
Jharkhand Skill Development Mission Society (JSDMS) aims to establish Jharkhand as the “Skill Hub of India” in the next five years. The State Government has organised Skill Summit 2018, Momentum Jharkhand on 12th January 2018, and the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda and the National Youth Day, at Ranchi. The Mission has distributed 25,000 job offers to the youths of the state during the Skill Summit. JSDM has also launched the “Skill Policy 2018” on this day. Shri Raghubar Das, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Jharkhand and Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, Hon’ble Minister in Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and Minister in Petroleum and Natural Gas were present at the event.
Furniture & Fittings Skill Council participated in the skill exhibition with both “Skills on Wheels” demonstrated at the entry of the venue. The live skilling was demonstrated on power tools during the exhibition. FFSC will be operating two Skills on Wheels in Jharkhand under “Recognition of Prior Learning” programme of JSDMS. Carpenter communities in Jharkhand will be the prime beneficiaries of this training module which will be executed under the aegis of JSDMS and FFSC.

2ND MEET OF ASSESSMENT AGENCIES
A half day review meeting of affiliated Assessment Agencies was organised at CII, Gurgaon on 7th January 2018. The objective of the meeting of Assessment Agency was to have a review of the assessments. The guidelines of Training of Assessors and assessment were discussed. The Assessment Agencies also shared their process of assessment and best practices. Different issues and problems related to assessment were also discussed. The first meet of Assessment Agency was organised in August 2017.

FFSC has organised a review meeting of Training Partner’s on 2nd Feb 2018 at Gurgaon. Various new job roles, engagement with State Skill Missions, registration on SMART portal and assessment related issues were discussed during the Meet. Training partners registered themselves with Skillemployee.com to increase the employability of the certified candidates.

The 10th GC meeting 2018, was held on 8th March at Bengaluru. The meeting was aligned with IndiaWood 2018 for strengthening industry connect and to apprise the industry about the initiatives of FFSC.
Status Report of the Council, RPL Type 4 - Best in Class Employers, WorldSkills 2019-Kazan, NAPS portal registration, formation of the Technical Committee were few of the key action points which were discussed in the meeting. The main highlight of the meeting was the foreign participation of woodworking industries like the members of the European Organisation of the Sawmill Industry, Director of the Swedish Wood along with trainers and entrepreneurs who are prominent in the woodworking fraternity.
The meeting provided an ideal opportunity for the council to brief the industry member on the activities and took their valuable feedback in improving the skill ecosystem.
LAUNCH OF FFSC- MERAHUNAR ONLINE PORTAL
Mr Anil Mathur, Chairman launched FFSC’s online portal FFSC-MeraHunar and mobile app during the GC meeting. The portal will connect skilled job seekers and employers. The job seekers will create their accounts, upload their profile, search for jobs, apply for jobs, view different job openings. It will also allow employers to post jobs on a regular basis and acquire skilled manpower. Apart from providing employment, the job portal will help FFSC in demand aggregation from the industry.

PARTICIPATION IN INDIAWOOD 2018
IndiaWood takes place in every two years. The 10th edition of the event took place from 8th - 12th March 2018 at Bengaluru International Exhibition Centre. It is one of the leading exhibitions for the furniture manufacturing and woodworking industry. The exhibition gave its audience a comprehensive overview of the prevailing technological innovations and the latest manufacturing trends in furniture manufacturing, woodworking technologies, tool, fittings, accessories and raw materials. The exhibition also offered many live demonstrations and product launches during the show. FFSC was the skilling partner of the event. Many new industries got the first hand information about FFSC and its skilling activities.
RPL TYPE 4 - BEST IN CLASS EMPLOYER
The aim of RPL Type 4 is to recognise the informally acquired skills existing in the organised ecosystem and thus easily identifiable through the best in class employers. This is not aimed at fresh skilling or recertification of someone with an existing government recognised certification in the same job role. The cases where a certain skill set related to the job role not covered under the license or may be an add on to the skill being covered under the license are being provided under the RPL Type 4.
The duration of RPL will be of one day. The candidate will get the benefit of Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojna (PMSBY). Insurance number will be mentioned in the certificate. Since best in class industry employees are an establish expert in their profession, the assessment will be done by the manger/ supervisor/ department head as Employer Assessors. The certificates of RPL Type 4 - Best in Class Employer will be co-branded with the industry. A reward money of INR 500 will be paid to the certified candidates through direct benefit transfer (DBT). Companies with annual turnover of between 20 to 50 crores and employee base of 200 will be eligible for the RPL Best in Class Employers.
Employees of the eligible employer along with the employees of the registered Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and industries indirectly associated with carpenter workforce can enrol for the RPL Type 4 - Best in Class Employer. The employees should be working with the employer for a minimum of six months either on pay roll or contractual basis.

To accelerate and synergise the efforts of industries towards the Skill India Mission, a half day Workshop was organised by FFSC at CII, Gurgaon in 13th June 2018. Representatives from different industries attended the programme. The attendees were briefed about National Apprenticeship Schemes, RPL-Type 4 and ffscmerahunar job portal. It was a platform to connect industry with FFSC and various activities of Skill India Mission.

SELECTION COMMITTEE MEETING AT RAEBARELI, UTTAR PRADESH
Under NBCFDC Skill Development Training Programme, selection process of the trainees for the various skill training programmes to be conducted during FY 2018-19, held on 21.05.2018 at Saraswati Auditorium, MCF, Lal Ganj, Raebareli. Total Five (5) SSCs/Training Institutions participated in the selection process. The selection process was held in presence of NBCFDC officials. Total 706 numbers of trainees have been selected/scrutinized. FFSC has mobilised around 250 candidates with the support of Training Partner, Prudential Infotech.
The programme was attended by GM Modern Coach Factory (MCF), Raebareli and MD NBCFDC who interacted with the participants.

29 states & 7 union territories across the country have begun their journey towards IndiaSkills 2018 with 50+ skills and more than 50,000 youths who have registered for the competition. India will be participating in Carpentry and Cabinet Making trades of Furniture & Fittings at the WorldSkills 2019 at Kazan, Russia. The WorldSkills competition is going to be held from 22nd to 27th August 2019. FFSC is an intergral part of the competition through out the process of IndiaSkills and WorldSkills competition. For IndiaSkills 2018, candidates were selected through three modes:
Track 1 – Nomination on National Portal, candidates belonging to states opted for Carpentry and Cabinet Making. The concerned State Skill Missions have sponsored two candidates in each trade who have came via track 1 competitions.
Track 2 – Nomination on National Portal, candidates who belongs to states which did not opt for FFSC’s trades
Track 3 – Nomination on National Portal, candidates belonging to institutes or wild card entries

REGIONAL COMPETITION – WEST (TRADES: CABINET MAKING AND CARPENTRY)
The Regional Competition for West was held during 24th, 25th and 26th May 2018 at Jaipur Exhibition and Convention Center, Jaipur, Rajasthan. Carpentry and Cabinet Making were the two trades in which competitions were held. Two participants each from Haryana, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh particpated in the Carpentry competition. In Cabinet Making two candidates each from Gujarat, Odisha and Maharashtra participated along with one candidate of Maharashtra. Caple Industrial Solutions and Bosch India Foundation provided the required infrastructure support for the competition. Jury and Workshop Manager support were provided by Caple Industrial Solutions, Bhartiya Skill Development University (BSDU), Iraj Evolutions Design Company Private Limited (IEVO), Bosch India Foundation and NID Ahmedabad. Three candidates from Track 2 and Track 3 mode represented Bosch India Foundation in Cabinet Making.

The Regional Competition for North was held during 31st May, 1st and 2nd June 2018 at Indira Gandhi Prathisthan, Lucknow. The competition was held in Carpentry trade. Two participants each from Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab and Chandigarh participated in the Carpentry competition. One candidate each from IEVO and Hettich Poddar Wood Working Institute participated in the competition through Track 2 and Track 3 mode. Caple Industrial Solutions provided the required infrastructure support for the competition. Jury and Workshop Manager support was provided by Caple Industrial Solutions, Bhartiya Skill Development University (BSDU), Iraj Evolutions Design Company Private Limited (IEVO), and Bosch India Foundation.

REGIONAL COMPETITION – SOUTH (TRADES: CABINET MAKING AND CARPENTRY)
The Regional Competition for South was held during 21st – 23rd June 2018 at Bengaluru International Exhibition Centre (BIEC), Bengaluru, Karnataka. Carpentry and Cabinet Making were the two trades in which competitions were held. Seven particpants (2 from Kerala, 2 from Bihar, 2 from track 2 & 3 and 1 from wild card entry) participated in the Carpentry competition and six participants from track 2 & 3 and 1 from wild card entry participated in the Cabinet Making competition. Caple Industrial Solutions provided the required infrastructure support for the competition. Jury and Workshop Managers were provided by Caple Industrial Solutions, Bhartiya Skill Development University (BSDU), Iraj Evolutions Design Company Private Limited (IEVO) and Bosch India Foundation.

FINANCIAL PERFORMANCE SUMMARY
“Stellar” is the word that defines the performance of FFSC for the F.Y. 2017-18. The
mandated targets set by various Governmental Agencies were achieved flawlessly. The
numbers in the financials reflect the same. The turnover increased by 356% as compared to
the last year. The total turnover for F.Y 2017-18 is more than Rs. 16.30 crores as compared to
Rs. 3.57 crores for F.Y 2016-17. The income over expenditure is Rs. 12,79,793/- for F.Y 2017-
18 as compared to Rs. 13,57,148/- for F.Y. 2016-17, which is within the acceptable parameters.
The Financial Outlook for the F.Y. 2018-19 would be much better as many fresh
projects have been initiated which would bring in much higher volumes as compared to
previous years. The renewed impetus of NSDC would certainly help in achieving the skilling
goals of the Honourable Prime Minister.

We have audited the accompanying financial statements of M/s Furniture & Fittings Skill Council (‘the Society’), which comprise the Balance Sheet as at March 31, 2018 and the Statement of Income & Expenditure and a summary of significant accounting policies and other explanatory information.
Management’s Responsibility for the Financial Statements
The Society’s Governing Body is responsible with respect to the preparation and presentation of these financial statements that give a true and fair view of the financial position of the Society in accordance with the accounting principles generally accepted in India. This responsibility also includes maintenance of adequate accounting records in accordance with the provisions of the Act for safeguarding of the assets of the Society and for preventing and detecting frauds and other irregularities; selection and application of appropriate accounting policies; making judgments and estimates that are reasonable and prudent; and the design, implementation and maintenance of adequate internal financial controls that were operating effectively for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the accounting records, relevant to the preparation and presentation of the financial statements that give a true and fair view and are free from material misstatement, whether due to fraud or error.
Auditor’s Responsibility
Our responsibility is to express an opinion on these financial statements based on our audit. We have taken into account the provisions of applicable laws, the accounting and auditing standards and matters which are required to be included in the audit report. We conducted our audit in accordance with the Standards on Auditing, issued by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. Those Standards require that we comply with ethical requirements and plan and perform the audit to obtain reasonable assurance about whether the financial statements are free from material misstatement.

An audit involves performing procedures to obtain audit evidence about the amounts and the disclosures in the financial statements. The procedures selected depend on the auditor's judgment, including the assessment of the risks of material misstatement of the financial statements, whether due to fraud or error. In making those risk assessments, the auditor considers internal financial control relevant to the Society's preparation of the financial statements that give a true and fair view in order to design audit procedures that are appropriate in the circumstances, but not for the purpose of expressing an opinion on whether the Society has in place an adequate internal financial controls system over financial reporting and the operating effectiveness of such controls. An audit also includes evaluating the appropriateness of the accounting policies used and the reasonableness of the accounting estimates made by the Society's Management, as well as evaluating the overall presentation of the financial statements. We believe that the audit evidence we have obtained is sufficient and appropriate to provide a basis for our audit opinion on the financial statements.
Opinion
In our opinion and to the best of our information and according to the explanations given to us, the financial statements give true and fair view in conformity with the accounting principles generally accepted in India:
(a) in the case of the Balance Sheet, of the state of affairs of the Society as at March 31, 2018, and
(b) in the case of the Statement of Income & Expenditure, of the profit for the year ended on that date.
