ANNUAL REPORT 2017-2018

The department of Commerce was established in 1974with 20 students and

the department of management was established in 2009 with 20 students, but today

it has increased its student’s strength by 430 and with faculty strength of 15.

However, today when women have scaled new frontiers in education, the

commerce and management has a prime place in college in terms of both students

strength and faculty size. The result of commerce and management has always

been the best in our college.

ACTIVITIES OF THE DEPARMENT

GUEST LECTURES:

The department has the traditional ritual of arranging for guest

lectures, which is usually placed with the best professional resources person.

1. Guest lecture on 07th Sep 2017. By resource person Prof Chithamani on the

topic “Goods and service Tax”

2. Guest lecture organized on 09th Jan 2018. By Dheenabandhu Charitable

trust (NGO) on the topic “Practical Problems on Goods and service

Tax” final year B.Com students were participated.

03. “One day entrepreneur awareness camp” On 08th

Feb 2018 was organized by JSS Rud

Set, Mariyala, Chamarajanagar, in collaboration with District Industrial

Centre Chamarajanagar.

04. “Free awareness Guest lecture was organized on career development option and role of

professional certificate “on 20.03.2018 by Pradhan shetty, who is co-ordinator of LOGIC

SCHOOL OF MANAGEMENT OF CMA Bangalore.

gayana and first prize in desha bhakthi geethe and film songs

First prize in bhava geethe held by yuva jana mela and neharu bhavana and

got selected to state level

On 15/03/2018 cultural and sports programme was organized by Nehru youth

centre .She Won first prize in janapada geethe, second prize in bhakthi geethe

and bhava geethe

Selected for finals in Sapthaswara competition held by Chiguru Channel

Chamarajanagara.
