Annual Day 2013-2014

A new, fully furnished ladies hostel with three floors has been

constructed on the college premises to accommodate girl students and to

meet with the growing demand for space. The UGC has sanctioned a sum

of Rs.56,99,800/- and the college has contributed a sum of Rs.79,51,371 in

constructing the hostel. The total expenditure in constructing the hostel

Rs.1,36,51,371/-.

The Girls Hostels accommodate 251 students. They are well managed by a team

headed by Deputy Warden, Prof. A. Rashetha Begam. Ms. U.S.Bushra and K.M.T.

Fathima Fasmine are the sub-wardens. Ms. Rashetha Begam and F. Siru Malar Julita

Dalmaida are the residential sub-wardens. In addition to that, there are four care takers

working in the hostel. The hostel is looked after by a round the clock watchman. Our

Hostel Students’ Association was inaugurated on 18.09.2013. Dr. Neela

Thatchayani pays a visit every Tuesday. A newly established Gymnasium

facilitates physical fitness for the inmates of the girls’ hostel.

RO water facilities function in full swing in both the hostels, Boys’

canteen and Girls’ canteen to quench the thirst of the students, that too

with care and safety.

Tiki Huts have been built on the college premises to provide shade

for the girls. Our college Management is magnanimous enough to sanction

Rs.1,30,000/- (one lakh thirty thousand) rupees for the purpose. A new

restroom for girls has also been built . We express our heartfelt gratitude to

our college management for fostering infrastructural developments on the

college campus.

Seven smart class rooms have been made use of by the teachers with

the view to taking the Teaching Learning Process to the next level and

making it an enjoyable one. The Orientation Programme conducted by the

IQAC of our college on “How to use Smart Boards” remains very useful for

the teachers.

The College congratulates Mr. Shahul Hameed, Assistant Professor of Business

Administration, on clearing JRF (Junior Research Fellowship) and Mr. S. Khaleel

Ahamed, Assistant Professor of English, on having cleared the National Level

Eligibility Test (NET). The College also congratulates Dr. Mohamed Haneef,

Department of English, on having completed Ph.D. He was awarded Ph.D. Degree on

04.04.2014.

monitor the happenings on the campus. The Public Address System which was installed
