OUR AMAZING VOLUNTEERS

I joined the “Mithra Special School” as a volunteer. I enjoyed the opportunity to work with the children, together with a staff who are doing great and wonderful work. These people are not just doing a job, very much more than that. The drive is based on feeling a need to share their warm love with people who are in, sometimes desperate, need being disabled (called ‘differently abled’ here) India is absolutely not comparable with being disabled in a sophisticated country like the Netherlands, where it is about possibilities to survive or develop into a person accepted by the world around them. It has touched my heart deeply and it meant very much to me being involved with proVISION ASIA.

Hermien van der Linden, Volunteer at Mithra Special School from Netherlands

I recently had the chance to spend a few months in Bangalore. The Overseas Women’s Club helped me make the most of the opportunity by putting me in touch with proVISION ASIA, who needed a volunteer to teach English to adults. What a wonderful group of people everyone at proVISION turned out to be! Though I did my best in teaching, I received far more in return than I gave; beautiful smiles of gratitude, delicious food, welcomes into homes, a gorgeous sari, and more. Above all, I felt blessed by the love shown to me. You are truly an inspiration that will stay with me for life, and I thank you.
