PREFACE

The Annual Report for the year 2012-13 is in your hands.

Last year’s, focus area was in terms of expanding social infrastructure that

included measures to raise human development attainments such as poverty

alleviation, health and nutrition, education and skill development, gender

empowerment and inclusion of marginalized sections of society.

During the year under report 13404 Nos. families were approached under

various economic development programme such as agriculture development, Animal

Husbandry, Dairy and rural industries programme. Equal emphasis was given on

social development programme by giving impetus on women empowerment. 473

Nos. of SHG’s were formed and linking them with income generation programme.

Health services were provided at the door step of poor patients which enabled them

to access the services and also creating requisite awareness towards health. Under

financial inclusion programme which was our flagship programme nearly one lac

accounts were opened in far-flung areas, a difficult milestone, which we achieved.

Apart from running ICDS for Kumher block, we created some ideal Anganwadi

Centres creating new benchmarks in the programme.

I again reiterate that by 2015, we want to approach all the 50,000 BPL

families in Bharatpur district and expand our programme in poorer adjoining district

such as Dholpur and Karauli. In this gigantic task we seek the support of all

government departments including state government, NABARD, RMK and SIDBI

and research institutions.

Our foundation is committed that development has to reach all sections of

society to ensure social cohesion, afford higher standards of living to all and to be

sustainable.

I place my appreciation on record for Dr. Swati Samvatsar, who has prepared

this report in such a short time and led the team of Rajasthan to achieve our

objectives.
