IMPORTANT: The management wishes to announce that this sale is being conducted ac-cording to the Code of Ethics of the Purebred Dairy Ca le Associa on. The following “Terms and Condi ons” have been endorsed by the PDCA as the basics for fair prac ce in the management of auc on sales.
TERMS: Cash or good check sale day. If you have not established a credit ra ng with the Sale Manager, please bring a le er from your bank guaranteeing the payment of your check.
BIDS: The highest bidder shall be the buyer. In the case of dispute, the animal shall again be put up for advance bids and if there be no advance bid, the animal shall be sold to the per-son from whom the auc oneer accepted the last bid. Every animal is pledged to absolute sale and by bidding is prohibited. Every animal must be transferred to a new owner and may not be transferred back to seller in less than a year, excep on at the discre on of the execu ve commi ee of the Ayrshire Breeders’ Associa on.
RISKS: All animals are at the purchaser’s risk as soon as struck off, but will be cared for free of charge for 24 hours
ERRORS: If errors are noted in the catalog, announcements will be made fore the auc on stand and such announcements will take precedence over the ma er in the catalog
SHIPPING: Assistance will be given in shipping the animal a er the sale. All costs, risks, and responsibility will be borne by the purchaser
WARRANES: (1) Each owner warrants clear tle to the property and right to sell the same. (2) Unless otherwise noted in catalog or announced from the auc on stand, each animal is sold as sound. (3) (A) Males: are sold as (a) being able to serve a er reaching 14months of age and (b) having semen a er reaching 14months of age that will be 25% of its sperm cells progressively mobile a er 24 hours of storage at 35degrees F. Should any bull not meet these two requirements within four months the ma er shall be reported in wri ng to the seller, who shall then have four months to prove bull’s ability to meet these requirement's before refunding the purchase price. In no case shall the seller be responsible for more than the sale price of the animal. (B) Females: Any female not pregnant when sold, or that has freshened within 60days of date of sale, is by that fact proven a breeder. Females bred when sold are presumed to be regnant to the best of the seller’s knowledge and belief . Pregnancy is not thereby guaranteed. Should any female not pregnant when sold, a er reaching the age of 18months, fail to become pregnant within four months’ me, a er being bred to a bull known to be a breeder, and a er having been treated by a licensed veterinarian, the ma er shall be reported in writhing to the seller who shall then have the privilege of four months me in which to prove the animal a breeder before refunding the purchase price. The seller makes no warran es that guarantee cows will deliver calves or that they will carry calves full term. In no case shall the seller be responsible for more that the purchase price of the animal. (4) Above warran es cease when the animal is disposed of by the original purchaser. (5) Transpira on charges on any animals, subject to adjustments, shall be paid by the shipper
Terms and Condi ons
TUBERCULIN TEST: All animals over 6 months have passed a nega ve test for tuber-culosis within thirty days prior to sale date.
BLOOD TEST: Most are cal ood vaccinated. Cal ood vaccinated animals over 14months old and unvaccinated animals over 6 months (180 days) of age shall have been nega ve to a blood test conducted with 30 days prior to date of sale.
*All animals have been inoculated against shipping fever, rabies, and BVD
