Suggestions for Website Q6

Just keep us informed

I've been on the website a few times. Not a whole lot of information. I did the VIP membership. So what does that mean? I guess nothing because I was sent a renewal a few months later.

Include links to other offroad sites, not sure if you have a forum section to the website but it could be something to increase traffic?

I'd like to see a more modern HTML5 design. The page is easy to navigate but lacks a modern, fluid feel and design. One suggestion would be to have several of the most recent images or updates automatically transition across the screen when the home page comes up. Also a mobile version of the site is almost a must-have today with so many people accessing the web from their phones and tablets.

Too many layers to navigate

More updates on timeline

Maybe some photos

More update as to where we sit and ways that the membership can support WORVPI. Wether it is

I would like to see more info on how the organization is addressing negative comments in order to reduce the local objections and misunderstandings on the park financing and impact on local taxes.

More pictures

Keep it simple

I would bring it up to date. Make the store more user friendly. Make the information easier to read.

Topics and Interest for information

Actual details. Not have to go to a library up north to get info.

Sent out emails to membership. I shouldn't have to search for information. I joined for a reason. To get first hand information not read on someone's FB post.

It's hard to tell how close or not WORVPI is to completion of the project. It's great to hear all the forward progress, but honestly I have no clue when this park might be completed. I work two jobs, I'm married, and have 3 kids, a simpler update would be nice. Most days I don't have time to read all the info I get. For example "On a scale from 1-100 or A to Z, we are (here) at the moment. ". I can understand that.

what more could clubs and individuals who live in the southern part of the state do to help the cause?

more updates on timeline

Changing the laws to allow Wisconsin residents the ability to convert off road bikes to be street legal. IL and MI both let residents to title their off road bikes for street use with the installation of the appropriate DOT components.

Funding, corporate sponsorship and state grants.

Set up a tab/page (highlighted) that answers the most often asked questions by Forest County residents/taxpayers. i.e. $7.00 per year per county taxpayer if park fails, what is $28 million economic impact? We need to clarify answers to taxpayers questions/concerns.

Rules and regulations of the off road vehicles.

Location of places to off road in Wisconsin

Maybe a update more often

Print the minutes of the meetings, so that we don't have to wait 3 months to find out what is going on.

More ways that the membership can help WORVPI.

Newspaper articles to address issues brought up by local editors and critics.

Look for input on haw much money is spent on our chosen hobby. maybe a survey on what it takes to do an out of state vacation in this sport.

I think you need to email people a reminder to pay there due's

More status updates on what's being achieved on the creation of the park. If set backs have occurred it would be nice to know what those are as well.

Eta on opening and more details of location .

Any POSITIVE information. Leave the Forest County negativity out of it. Announce that you have dropped them like a bad habit and are moving forward with out them

Favorite Off Road Parks

Mole Lake trails!!! Love Colorado and Utah Trails! Each Park has its individual personality which is good. Since Northwoods and McCaslin closed there is no where really for off-roading near where we are located in NE WI. When they were open a large group of us went multiple times throughout the year for weekends and some of us for weeks at a time camping out at the parks. WORVPI would provide that kind of place for us to go again. Rubicon Trail totally awesome experience with fantastic local communities to experience. SMORR is on top of the list. One stop shop. Camp, wheel small store. Friendly people. Pittsfield, Ill. People from the local community make you feel welcome and the trails offer a wide variety I generally like Apple Valley because of its challenges. Dresser Memorial weekend is fun too. There's a couple private spots in southern WI that are club owned that I enjoy as well. Streaked Mountain, Buckfield, Maine- This was the mountain in my back yard growing up and where I first learned how to wheel, there are several different routes to the top for all different levels of wheelers, lots of stuff to crawl. Uwharrie National Forest, North Carolina- For a small fee you have access to miles of trials with varying degree of difficulty, and primitive camp sites that are first come first serve makes it a great place to spend a weekend with a group of friends. McCasslin's in Townsend,WI was because it was a family friendly trail and campground that was extremely convenient to get to the trails from the campgrounds, but it has since been shutdown. badlands in Attica Indiana Iron range. Because of the rocks. silver lake sand dunes badlands black river falls Illinois ( The Cliffs) it has hills, mud, water, self guided trails and a parking lot for tailgating. Also camping near the park. Gilbert MN, only one I have gone to Badlands off-road park in Attica Indiana. Variety in Terrain including sand, mud, trees, rocks, rivers. Variety of difficulty. The majority of the park is accessible by stock vehicles but the built ones have plenty of challenging obstacles. Able to use Jeep, ATV, Motorcycles and side by sides. Motocross track. Reasonably priced entry fee Reasonably priced camping Car wash station and showers. Iron Range OHV Park McCaslin before it closed.

Favorite Off Road Parks

I ride atv's and like the trails in Elcho Pembine Dunbar ATV park in Tigerton. I would like to buy a jeep and for sure would if this park gets open. I would visit VERY often and I love Crandon Off Road Raceway

Iron range MN. Has everything from stock truck trails to large buggy type trails. The park staff is very friendly and open to feedback.

Gray Rock ORV.

Gilbert. Its size and different levels of terrain. Many of the trails are wide enough to not create body damage to the vehicle.

Durham town OHV Park, Georgia; Great trail system for ATV and great single track motorcycle trails. Also has 4X4 areas. 9 motocross track, a dirt track, a grass drags track on about 6,000 acres. They also rent ATV, UTV, and many sizes of dirt bikes from tame to full MX bikes. Cabins for rent, an attached RV park, and a bar/restaurant. They have it all!

Colorado holy cross city trail if you've been there you don't need me to explain.

badlands, mainly because of the trails. its also the only park ive visited so far hoping to go to the cliffs anf gilbert this year

Iron range ohv. It's open daily and is the closest place for me to visit that's open on a regular basis.

Badlands Attica , in . The carried terrain and the ability to go anywhere . Black river falls for the ribbon trails through the woods . Its nice to be able to take to the trail after riding aggressively on a track/play area . its also nice to be able ti ride trails with a purpose and have a destination .

Used to be mccasslin mountain, but was shut down. Now it is almost impossible to go since there is nothing regulated in the state.

The Badlands. I Like The Variety Of Terrain.

Drummond Island Trail System in Michigan. Relatively close to home and the island is a beautiful setting.

Comments about fund raising campaign

Uncertain at this time. Already have put in the $150 program.

Very interested if my contribution was tax deduction.

I don't camp

Not interested in camping but will still be supportive

Need more information before considering this.

Pending package offers

I think maybe take donations at the crandon races

Would be interested in employment at the park.

For between $600 - $1000 I would require a lifetime riding pass. You might include at a reduced rate for lifetime access riders a storage area for a camping trailer that could be moved over into the campground if the owner came up to use the park. When not in use there would be a monthly storage fee (and a

I'm not really interested in camping, so a campground pass is not enticing to me. However, depending on the dollar amount required vs package offered, a park-entry pass arrangement would be much more interesting to me.

Not a camper. Already own vacation property in Forest County.

Interested in a lifetime campground pass

A vehicle raffle could be a great way to raise funds.

I would consider a 100 - 200 donation for family pass .right now im the only one who rides , but have been thinking about building a rock/trail buggy for some time now . This park might just seal the deal and get me starting to build one if I have more places to take it !!!!

It's important for my support to be a tax deduction.

General Comments

Need more info on what is going on. Keep up the good work!! Please make this happen! I am tired of having to trailer my rig out of state to go play for the weekend. I understand your working to build this park but it seems to be taking forever to get anything tangible actually going. From most of the off roaders I am talking to about this are losing interest or thinking it is just a bureaucratic nightmare getting nowhere except a lot of meetings, elections, and the typical hierarchy building without accomplishing anything real. Keep up the good work I hope to see an actual off-road park before I die! Keep fighting the good fight! We are fairly new to the off road community, just rebuilt a jeep this past winter. We are excited to try it out this upcoming summer. I will more than likely volunteer for trail build days at the park when I'm not volunteering at Mole Lake. I could see work days on Sundays after Saturday builds on Mole Lake Tribal Land possibly being an advantage, we would already be in the area. All that would be needed would be a place to stay. Would like to thank the board of directors for there time and effort in this project. Keep up the good work! Good luck. I sincerely hope the project is completed. Make it happen! As president of the Armstrong Creepers / Forest County Krawlers , you have our permission to include our club on your list of partners - we could all use the extra exposure - thanks Josh Nichols President Keep up the hard work and you have my support I would like to help in any way possible to help make this a success. Goldy Keep up the effort, the riders/drivers need this park. If not in Forest County then somewhere else nearby. help keep my money in this state. last year alone I estimate I spent around $10,000 on fourwheeling vacations and were starting to plan for this year, and its all out of state. Not sure if this is sending or not, but I push the button at the bottom and it just brings me back to the top of the page with no error messages. I tried to answer all the questions, but I'm not sure if you got the survey or not. Anyway, keep up the GREAT work!! It is appreciated!!

keep up the great work!

I am a VIP Charter member and listed as such, but not listed as an individual member. If these are different memberships please let me know so that I can sign up for the additional membership if necessary. Thank you for working to make a major Wisconsin off-road park a reality!

I appreciate the work and dedication that you guys are putting into this. Keep it up and hopefully wisconsin will finally have a regular destination to go wheeling.

I cant wait to ride there !!!!

Keep up the good fight. Get away from the negativity that comes from Forest County. Great place for a park or not the negative forces there are sapping out volunteers, leaders and potential. This drives away supporters. It turns supporters into naysayers.

Keep up the great work!

Forest County is extremely lucky to have this fine bunch of WORVPI volunteers working for them!
