2012 HighlightsJohn Carroll’s Commitment to Faith and ServiceAt the center

of student life at John Carroll is each student’s relationship with God. We recognize that excellence in education and personal achievement is not only the result of study and effort but is a blessing from the Lord. As a Catholic school, John Carroll promotes and teaches the Catholic faith and spiritual values while welcoming students from other faith traditions. We help students become closer to God and recognize and develop their faith.

All students participate in a wide range of religious classes as well as liturgical and spiritual experiences. Our religion and campus ministry faculty are among the most theologically trained and qualified in the Diocese of Palm Beach, offering classes in scripture, sacraments, morality, social justice, Catholic church history, and marriage and family life.

We offer monthly masses and prayer services, the opportunity for

our Catholic students to receive the Sacrament

of Reconciliation, and seasonal liturgical events. One of the special aspects of our program is our class retreats, in which students learn about their spiritual side and can bond with members of their class.

Of course, following the great commandment to love God above all and our neighbor as ourselves, we encourage community service as a means of strengthening and developing our faith. Students can choose a leadership role through our Alpha program or one of the many service-oriented clubs through

which students can give of themselves for others. In addition, JCHS is proud to assist in Habitat for Humanity construction projects. For the past six years, nearly every student has participated in the construction process, and this year JCHS was recognized by the Florida Public Relations Association for its community betterment initiatives by earning numerous prestigious Image Awards.

members to attend John Carroll High School.”
