1 some doesn't apply. I didn't stay and eat in hotel 3/20/2020 5:00 PM

5 I did not stay at the hotel so my answer to Question 3 is based solely on the other services atthe resort such as the lounge.

3/19/2020 12:13 PM

6 Deerhurst facilities require a lot of face lift! Elevators ancient and not cleaned Housekeepingwas spotty at best. Staff was helpfull and friendly.

3/19/2020 11:22 AM

7 The place is tired. 3/19/2020 11:20 AM

8 The venue's main restaurant was closed most of the time, not too appropriate for a gathering ofthis size.

3/19/2020 11:18 AM

9 not enough room....can never go there again...a disaster pub tiny...nothing to do....upstairs baropen at 4 the whole place is a joke....unreal...room outdated garbage

3/19/2020 11:15 AM

10 didn't stay at Deerhurst 3/19/2020 11:10 AM

11 This facility is becoming too small and far too under staffed to accommodate the AOLS AGM. Itwas disappointing to find that room service was unavailable and that during non meeting hoursonly one on-site restaurant was able to open. I would strongly recommend that the AOLS notreturn to this facility.

3/19/2020 11:10 AM

12 Room not properly made up upon arrival. Limited maps and signage to find restaurants, pooletc. Buffet restaurant terrible. food generally uninspiring.

3/19/2020 11:08 AM

13 future options? 3/19/2020 11:07 AM

14 Used Holiday Inn Huntsville, rather than Deerhurs as I was just staying one night. Not so greatwith snow conditions as they were: Had to scrape ice at least 7 times.

21 Didn't have room service so hard to rate that. Food was very expensive. 3/16/2020 12:57 PM

22 Great venue, concurrent sessions were very good and educational 3/16/2020 12:46 PM

23 Great venue. Great conference. Glad it happened when it did and didn't get cancelled. 3/16/2020 12:44 PM

24 The apartments adjoining the main lodge are getting pretty run down . they definitely could usea refit.

31 Really enjoyed the meals and facility. 3/13/2020 6:47 PM

32 need restaurant open at noon Only one pub in basement open. Vendors luncheon tooexpensive.

3/13/2020 4:23 PM

33 Weather was a factor I know but the hotel did not do a great job cleaning the parking areas andthe roads to the various condos outside the main hotel.

3/13/2020 4:13 PM

34 Rooms were clean and the food was good. 3/13/2020 2:59 PM

40 Thank you 😊 3/11/2020 8:54 PM

41 No tea or coffee at convocation lunch, coffee not replenished in the room. 3/11/2020 8:35 PM

42 Good meals. 3/11/2020 7:19 PM

43 Deerhurst is not a viable option anymore 3/11/2020 7:00 PM

44 Too spaced out. Not enough choice of food. Only one restaurant open Thursday at lunch. 3/11/2020 6:49 PM

45 Not enough room for Lunch at on site restaurants for those not pufchasing conference meals. 3/11/2020 6:01 PM

46 This hotel is starting to be dated. it is also too large and spread out for this meeting as peoplehave to drive to the main events from their rooms. the restaurants and staff were overwhelmedat times during the welcome mixer and meal times.

3/11/2020 3:53 PM

47 no coffee with convocation lunch... 3/11/2020 3:23 PM

48 Excellent 3/11/2020 2:49 PM

49 The resort was very accommodating in that they moved us to a room on the first floor ratherthan the third. This was done in a matter of minutes.

3/11/2020 2:09 PM

50 I did not think the food was great - not sure what we ate at the convocation lunch. The buffet fordinner was easy but the food was just ok. Same with the breakfasts. The restaurants wereexpensive for the service and food.

3/11/2020 2:04 PM

51 Deerhurst is a nice place to hold the AGM. Perhaps not the nightlife, as in the cities, that someyounger members might enjoy, however, great venue to spend the 3 days at, meet fellowsurveyors, and have time to visit/catch up between and after the formal meeting times.

3/11/2020 1:42 PM

52 hotel lacked all basic standards of expected service. room service for breakfast would be asignificant improvement, and having two or more restaurants stay open during the day.

3/11/2020 1:39 PM

53 Food at the one restaurant where the Meet and Greet was kinda pricey 3/11/2020 1:35 PM

54 Always enjoy our AGM at Huntsville 3/11/2020 1:34 PM

55 Awesome location and venue. Thursday seminars were great. Julia’s on businesscommunications was about the best and most useful and applicable seminar I’ve attended in along time. More like hers would be amazing. Updates on case law and even business type lawswould be great. Insurance claims seminars are always a must.

3/11/2020 1:27 PM

56 Resort is not suitable for a business conference in the winter. Remote rooms, no room service, restaurants close early or don't open at all and understaffed.

3/11/2020 1:22 PM

57 The hotel staff were great! The hotel room was dry and dusty, and the carpeting in the halls andelevator were worn out. Thee food was horrible, of the 4 days that I spent there I actuallyenjoyed only 2 of the meals that I had.

3/11/2020 1:21 PM

58 stay in toronto 3/11/2020 1:20 PM

59 Quality of the food was disappointing. This venue is too isolated for other meal options withouthaving to travel far.

3/11/2020 1:16 PM

60 The exhibitor's luncheon was very weak. For $50 I would expect something much moresubstantial. The Welcoming party's appetizers were also very weak. Once again, for the fees, Iexpected something more akin to a DINNER.

3/11/2020 1:11 PM

61 I do not like this venue 3/11/2020 1:09 PM

62 Breakfast is too expensive, there should be more choice. 3/11/2020 1:09 PM

63 Did not stay in hotel 3/11/2020 1:05 PM

64 Lunch was limited selection but gave me great service and accomodated my dietery needs atVeteran's dinner.

3/11/2020 1:05 PM

65 Weather is not good this year 3/11/2020 1:03 PM

66 food service for Grand hall Convocation Luncheon, had to pass through the guests waiting toenter the hall prior to the doors opening. Not very professional.

3/11/2020 1:00 PM

67 I didn't stay at the Deerhurst 3/11/2020 12:59 PM

68 restaurants were not all open at all times and they should have been given the large group thatwas being hosted

3/11/2020 12:57 PM

69 Costs were high - great facility but not good value. 3/11/2020 12:45 PM

70 None 3/11/2020 12:40 PM

71 I only ate in a restaurant, not any of the AOLS organized lunches/dinners. The restaurant foodwas 5 star

3/11/2020 12:35 PM

72 The rooms were quite expensive for just sleeping and eating in given the time of year andbecause of the conference location we were limited to where we could stay.

3/11/2020 12:34 PM

73 The staff were very professional and friendly 3/11/2020 12:33 PM

74 please ensure that the room checkout times can be negotiated to be 30 minutes after the end ofthe meeting

3/11/2020 12:32 PM

75 Other resturant upstairs should have been open for breakfast and lunch. 3/11/2020 12:32 PM

76 EXCELLENT LOCATION 3/11/2020 12:28 PM

77 Deerhurst has slipped a bit in my estimation since the last visit. It was 5 star- I'd now rate ijnt3.5 or 4 star tops.

3/11/2020 12:26 PM

78 Deerhurst is not the premium destination it once was. Perhaps its time for a change. 3/11/2020 12:24 PM

79 felt captive - needed to take taxi to get into town - shuttle between rooms & conference venueless than ideal

3/11/2020 12:24 PM

80 Did not stay at the Resort nor eat any food from the Resort. 3/11/2020 12:24 PM

81 no housekeeping provided in room unless staying more than 5 days, temperature controls inroom would not keep a steady room temperature.

3/11/2020 12:22 PM

82 I did not stay at the hotel, so I cannot rate the hotel room. 3/11/2020 12:21 PM

24 Sessions offered on Thursday were excellent 3/11/2020 7:01 PM

25 In all honesty the program seemed to lack substance in some ways. the Wed. morning sessionwas 40 mins ahead of schedule; 75 minutes after starting. Please also consider staring theday's events at 9:00 rather than 8:30

3/11/2020 3:55 PM

26 Some of the sessions could have been better with a sound system that allowed all to hear thedetails.

3/11/2020 2:11 PM

27 I do not like the open forum split into 2 days. If someone does not attend the 1 day they don'tknow what is going on at the 2nd day.

3/11/2020 2:05 PM

28 A little extra time for open forum wouldn't hurt. 3/11/2020 1:35 PM

29 The educational sessions I attended were excellent, but over an hour was too long. I'd suggestmore sessions of 1 hour each or less so I could have attended more than just 3.

3/11/2020 1:23 PM

30 The meeting was well run, I really enjoyed the open forum. 3/11/2020 1:22 PM

31 Have the Forum scheduled differently. On Friday's at the same time as check-out time conflictsmany folks attending.

19 This meeting is very repetitive year to year. Business sessions are merely informationdissemination sessions with little comment from the crowd. To liven things up you shouldconsider having more open forums and sooner in the program. It should be the reverse of afireworks show...try to have the most explosive dialog at the beginning (not at the very end likeit happened this year). Have the motions introduced on Wednesday morning and voted onFriday. This will give us something exciting to talk about while we are there.

3/11/2020 12:32 PM

20 Risk management education by an association should not include sexism and ageism. If Iunderstood correctly, as discussed by the presenter, there is a risk that needs to be managed inmales reaching the age of 50 that have been working for 25 years - called a 'Mid Life Crisis' -actual words used. Insurance companies need to watch and watch out for those individuals.Anybody find any thing wrong with this statement? With this type of statement in this day andage, how could anything else he says make any sense? How about we watch out for women atthe age of Menopause for risk management? Or many once a month? Say that in a group andsee how that goes over. And, He said nothing that was helpful to 'change' our association thatwe do not already do - continued education, publishing discipline decisions for members tounderstand wrongdoings, monitor members by membership. He used the words 'RadicalChange'. No radical change needed. And Tired of being told we are a white male community. Please find me one instance where we have stopped any minority or women from joining ourranks. Never! A total waste of time by an uneducated speaker.

10 Need to rethink the Presidents dinner and dance....only reason it was mildly successful thisyear was the "secluded" venue. Pretty expensive night for some mediocre hotel food...if thenext president insists on this same format maybe have a closed meal/ceremony portion andopen the dance and bar portion to the entire membership?

18 Meet and greet was very cramped. 3/11/2020 6:11 PM

19 I really enjoy the meet & greet most years, but this must have been the worst one in awhile, itwas awkward the layout really discouraged socializing, as most people stayed in small groupsat their tables. Bar ran out of glasses and couldn't serve drinks for close to 25min! The wholehotel was poorly equipped to serve this number of guests. I will never return to this location, and the AOLS/AGM committee should strongly consider removing it from the rotation. .

1 It is now time to rethink some of the AGM functions to make them gender and age neutral. Theveteran's dinner should not be limited to veterans. The female surveyor breakfast should alsonot be limited to female surveyors. We should be more inclusive in our approach and celebrateour veterans and our female surveyors. 3 AOLS has little interest in CoR members that needs to change 3/19/2020 11:12 AM

5 I thought this year's AGM was very well done. The plenary sessions were excellent and thoughtprovoking. Huntsville is the "right" venue for our current meeting format. I am a littledisappointed in the membership not taking opportunity to speak at the open forum. There are alot of important, game changing items on the table and few address them....

6 Its going to be hard to make all the members happy and I appreciate the hard work put intohosting an AGM.

13 Good job to the organizing staff. Kudos. 3/11/2020 6:16 PM

14 I thank all of the AOLS staff and volunteers for their efforts on this year's AGM. I imagine it isnot easy and somewhat thankless

15 This was my first and last time attending a AGM at deerhurst. The lack of service over all andpoor quality of meals was a complete turn off, the only positive note was that it prevented mefrom spending money during the AGM. The rooms were also dated, and located far from themain buildings. Should strongly consider reducing the number of locations within the AGMrotation, and never returning here for a AGM.

16 Consider splitting conference into 2 days of business and 2 or 3 days of educational rather thanintermixing.

17 Great job by all the planners and executors of this AGM. Thanks to all of you for a job welldone. Bravo!

18 Excellent initiative seeking feedback. 3/11/2020 12:50 PM

19 I believe if we limit presentations to an hour we can get everything done in two days asopposed to 2.5 days and save the membership quite a bit of money.

20 This was a very, very good meeting- the seminar content, the level of discussion, theattendance and the gorgeous scenery were all top notch. Only drawback- no hockey on thelake....

21 Open forum is good but members are afraid to speak out about issues. Open forum shouldhave a anonymous element so that members can contribute without feeling like they will bepunished by the association or other members. And, if issues are discussed at the OpenForum, no action, that the membership knows, ever happen afterward. Real issues are broughtup, but no follow up is taken by the Association or Council to assure the members thatsomething is being done. The open forum is for the members to being up issue - maybe thecouncil should put forward these issues for discussion or at least report about them again.Provide members that discussed the issues, minutes of council meeting where the open forumwas brought up. Now, the member says something and then nothing. What was the point then?

22 I would suggest dispensing of terms like "Welcoming Party" and "Convocation Luncheon" .... itis very difficult to justify having your expenses reimbursed when you are claiming that youattended a party or a luncheon. Perhaps instead of Welcoming Party, it could be called

"Networking Event", or instead of Convocation Luncheon, it could be called "ConvocationCeremony".
