The board of directors of Minto Museum announced that tours of the grounds will be available by appointment this summer.
Shannon Brazil, co-curator of the museum previously reported the museum was to be closed this summer due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The board recently decided to open to groups of less than 50 by appointment only begin-
ning June 17.There are signs on the
fence by the front gate, along Highway 81 and on the Walsh County Historical Museum Facebook page, instructing people how to arrange a tour.
People can call Minto Museum and or Brazil at 248-3237 or co-curator Wally Ebertowski at 248-3984 to book a tour.

The pandemic couldn’t stop the annual Fourth of July festivities in Park River. The kiddie parade will begin at 10:30 a.m., on Briggs Avenue South sponsored by Sunshine Kids Center.
The regular parade will follow at 11 a.m. It will be broadcast on Aggie Vision and KXPO 1340 AM. To-go orders of burgers, hot dogs and Randy’s beans will be served from noon-3 p.m. Call ahead at 331-1121.
The 20th annual Valley Cruisers “Show & Shine” will also follow the parade on Briggs Avenue South.
Bingo outside city hall from 1-7 p.m. With proceeds going to the Walsh County Food Pantry.
Free kite flying and family event, 1:30-3:30 p.m., at the Legion Collseum.
The eventful day will wrap up with Tom Larson Memorial Fireworks at the Big Park at 10 p.m.
Annual Fourth of July celebration
The starting date for the opening of the Park River Farmer’s Market has been changed to Thursday, July 2, and will run until the end of August from 5:30-6:30 p.m.
Vendors will set up six feet from each other and they will be expected to assist cus-tomers in selecting prod-ucts to avoid extra touching. Tables will be wiped down throughout the evening.
Local organizations will be serving meals from 5-7 p.m.,
each week. They will be served to individuals on the South side of the shelter and North side will be set up for “to go” orders. Individuals are asked to adhere to social distancing guidelines when picking up and eating in the park.
A prize of “Market Money” will be given out each week. Guests are asked to share a picture of the items they pur-chased or comment on the meal served on their Facebook page to be eligible to win.
