Announcing the Birth of Our New Site--tinytots.comby Tim & Judy Aagard from Tiny Tots

Congratulations to all the new babies, mamas and papas. Giving birth certainly is a life altering experience—for the better of course! And although the birthing process is normally painful at the moment, the pain quickly turns to joy once the actual birth occurs.

Tiny Tots has recently “given birth” to a new and improved website, tinytots.com (our third revision since debuting in

1999). Our 21 year-old son, Trevor, offered his self-taught expertise for the technical, navigation and design aspects of the conversion. The boutique section is powered by Nitrosell, a company which links directly to our POS system. Now, keeping track of inventory is computerized instead of manual. A huge step forward for us.

Initial feedback is that the navigation and design of the site is great. Our customers have also enjoyed a larger selection of items that we carry in our Boutique, especially our toy

collection. This offering will continue to increase. There is also a form under the “Contact Tiny Tots” link where you can make changes to your diaper service account. And what site would be complete without it’s own blog?

Phase II web improvements are slated to be on-line in January and include the popular diaper cover exchange and gift cards. Also on the wish list is a gift registry. If there is something specific you would like to see on our website, please use the “feedback” form located on the site or give us a call.

Boutique Help NeededWe are looking for part time help in our Baby Boutique. Preferably we are look-ing for individuals who have experience with cotton diapering, baby wearing and breastfeeding. If interested, please contact May Lee at mayplee@juno.com or come by the Boutique and fill out an application.

T-Shirt Slogan ContestGet your creative juices flowing! We would like to put a slogan on a paper “single-use” t-shirt to communicate that since it doesn’t make environmental or comfort sense to wear paper “single-use” clothing, why would it make environmental or comfort sense to wear paper “single-use” diapers. The slogan/illustrations should be in good humor and designed to communicate in a fun-spirited way. In the body of the e-mail include your ideas) along with your contact information. The winner will receive a $100 credit on their diaper service account along with a commemorative paper t-shirt. They give your donations to families that need assistance. If you have child-related furniture items that you’re ready to donate, p l ease b r ing those to our boutique. Toys and clothes can be picked up by our drivers along with your soiled diapers. Bag & label them “Second Chances” and set them next to your diapers.

Easy Label Audit For Your Diaper CountAn easy way to have us audit your diaper inventory is to write a 2-word note on the label on the soiled bag before you set it outside - “25 left”, or whatever number of clean dia-pers are left in your home. These labels are cut off the diaper bag and turned into the office after the soiled diaper coun-ter counts your bag and writes the count on the label. When we add up the num-ber left + the soiled count + the number of diapers delivered that day, we can determine if your rotation is correct. Some customers do this every week. Some do it once a month.

Thanksgiving Delivery ScheduleThere will be no changes in your delivery

schedule for Thanksgiving. If your delivery day is Thursday, please set your diapers out the night

before, as your driver will start his route earlier than usual. If you need to schedule a vacation hold, please call at least 3 working days in advance of your delivery day.
