The United Express flights will be operated by ExpressJet using 50-seat regional jet aircraft. Flight reservations are available immediately. “We are thrilled to add Chicago to our list of non-stop cities,” said James Meyer, director of the Centre County Airport Authority. “Chicago is ranked No. 3 among the top destination cities for passengers in this region, and it offer a convenient connecting city for westbound flights.” Beginning in January, there will be two scheduled departures daily from Chicago O’Hare and University Park Airport, with the times designed to allow for easy connections to the west coast and Far East. These flights will add to the robust schedule currently serving Centre County. According to Meyer, this can only be a positive development towards acquiring yet additional air service, something we are always working on. “Non-stop service to Chicago O’Hare has long been a priority, and we are very excited that our community will now have daily service to O’Hare, which offers hundreds of domestic and international connections,” said Bryan Rodgers, director of the University Park Airport. “This new scheduling option brings us closer to our goal of offering our travelers unparalleled convenience, comfort, reliability and flexibility.” For business or pleasure, people can fly easy at University Park Airport.
