Box Tops for Education
The PE department is collecting Box Tops for Education. Please turn
them in to your PE/Health teacher.
Ronald McDonald House CharitiesGrissom is once again collecting pop tabs to benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities! The pop tabs are recycled and sold for scrap metal. Last year, Ronald McDonald House
Charities of Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana raised more than
$40,000 from this program. A collection box will be in the Commons
for your donations!
Intramural SoccerIndoor soccer intramurals are held Tuesday and
Thursday mornings from 7:45-8:30. Permission slips are in the rack outside the Main
Office.
Grissom Green TeamThe Grissom Green Team no longer needs
plastic bottles! (Thank you for your donations!) We are still collecting bottle caps, paper towel holders and toilet paper holders. Keep up the
great work, Grissom!!
ChorusChorus meets Monday and Thursday
after school in the Band room.
Student CouncilStudent Council members will meet after school Tuesday in Room 222.
Board Game ClubBoard Game Club will meet in the Art
Room after school on Tuesday.
Black Out DanceThe Grissom-Prairie View dance has been re-scheduled for Friday, March 9th from 6-8 pm. All students who previously purchased a ticket
will be given a revised ticket on Tuesday, March 6th. If you need a refund, it will be
issued on Tuesday, March 6th. Tickets will be sold on Wednesday, March 7th and Thursday, March 8th during lunches. Tickets will NOT be
sold at the dance!

Declamation
Declamation will meet today after school in
Room 118.
Crayola ColorCycleStudents and teachers will soon be collecting used
markers (any brand!) to be converted into clean fuel. This fuel can be used to power vehicles, heat homes, cook
meals and more! Boxes will be located in the Commons. The Crayola ColorCycle program can keep tons of plastic
out of landfills each year! Remember, don’t throw out that used marker – ColorCycle it!
MathletesMathletes meets Monday and Friday this week after school in Room 222.

must have your Grissom ID with you! You will not be admitted without it!
Student SupportBefore and after school
Student Support is offered from 8:00-8:35 am each
morning, and from 3:10-4:05 pm Monday through Thursday.
You must arrive at the beginning of the session and
stay for the whole time!
Water Bottle Filling Station Challenge
Last year Grissom Patriots saved over 6,600 plastic water bottles
from ending up in landfills by using the water bottle filling stations throughout the building. Please
remember to use these instead of plastic bottles. So far this year, we’ve saved 6,750 bottles from
landfills! Let’s beat last year’s total!
