Opening Prayer (In Unison) God of all blessings, source of all life, giver of all grace: we thank you for the gift of life: for the breath that sustains life, for the food of this earth that nurtures life, for the love of family and friends without which there would be no life. We thank you for the mystery of creation: for the beauty that the eye can see, for the joy that the ear may hear, for the unknown that we cannot behold filling the universe with wonder, for the expanse of space that draws us beyond the definitions of our selves. We thank you for setting us in communities: for families who nurture our becoming, for friends who love us by choice, for companions at work, who share our burdens and daily tasks, for strangers who welcome us into their midst, for people from other lands who call us to grow in understanding, for children who lighten our moments with delight, for the unborn, who offer us hope for the future. For these and all blessings, we give you thanks, eternal, loving God, through Jesus Christ we pray. Amen. Unison Scripture Reading: Romans 11:16-18; Proverbs 3:9-10 (KJV) 16 For if the firstfruit be holy, the lump is also holy: and if the root be holy, so are the branches. 17 And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert grafted in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree; 18 Boast not against the branches. But if thou boast, thou bearest not the root, but the root thee.

Opening Prayer (In Unison)God of all blessings, source of all life, giver of all grace: we thank you for the gift of life: for the breath that sustains life, for the food of this

earth that nurtures life, for the love of family and friends without which there would be no life. We thank you for the mystery of creation: for

the beauty that the eye can see, for the joy that the ear may hear, for the unknown that we cannot behold filling the universe with wonder, for the expanse of space that draws us beyond the definitions of our selves. We thank you for setting us in communities: for families who

nurture our becoming, for friends who love us by choice, for companions at work, who share our burdens and daily tasks, for

strangers who welcome us into their midst, for people from other lands who call us to grow in understanding, for children who lighten our

moments with delight, for the unborn, who offer us hope for the future. For these and all blessings, we give you thanks, eternal, loving God,

through Jesus Christ we pray. Amen.

Unison Scripture Reading: Romans 11:16-18; Proverbs 3:9-10 (KJV)

16For if the firstfruit be holy, the lump is also holy: and if the root be holy, so are the branches. 17And if some of the branches be broken off,

and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert grafted in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree; 18Boast not

against the branches. But if thou boast, thou bearest not the root, but the root thee.

9Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase: 10So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy

presses shall burst out with new wine.

God, we love you and the genuine expression of love is giving. You showed your love for us first by giving us your Son. We demonstrate our love for you by giving now a portion of what you have given to us. We give freely. We give cheerfully. We will not rob you. Instead, we will worship you by giving from our heart.  You are our #1 priority. We will not treat banks or bills better than we treat you because you deserve all the glory, the honor and the praise. We refuse to live under a curse. Therefore, in obedience to your Word, we bring our tithe and our offering to you today. PUT your promise into action! Open the windows of heaven and provide what we need for our desires and our destiny! POUR into our lives the phenomenal and spectacular by releasing a blessing that is beyond our wildest dreams! PROTECT everything that we currently have and do not permit the enemy to abort anything that you are trying to give us for our future.  The tithe is what we owe, the offering is seed we sow. We sow now with the expectation of jobs and better jobs, of businesses and greater businesses, of raises and bonuses, of houses and land, of freedom from debt and supernatural increase. Bless us indeed and enlarge our territory as we live for your glory. Alleluia! In the mighty, matchless and miraculous name of Jesus, we confess. Amen!

This major motion picture event is an experience created to be shared among families and communities across the U.S. It brings the story of Jesus' life to audiences through compelling cinematic storytelling that is both powerful and inspirational. Told with the scope and scale of an action epic, the film features powerful performances, exotic locales, dazzling visual effects and a rich orchestral score. The film spans from Jesus' humble birth through his teachings, crucifixion and ultimate resurrection. We need 100 people to commit to go for a private showing!

Celebrate with us in recognizing the National Black Marriage Sunday March 23, 2014. There will be a luncheon on that Sunday after morning worship . Please RSVP with Deacon Gray or Rev. Gray. Plan to come and have lots of fun!
