Tracie Y 2 Years

Karma was born in Niagara Falls, New York. At around the age of 2 years her family moved to Peoria,

Illinois, where she remained for 65 years. She met her husband of 61 years her senior year of high

school. He worked for the Corp of Engineers for 35 years. They raised two children, a daughter, Jill and a

son David. They have five grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

They moved to Fruita, Colorado, and lived there for 25 years, where her husband worked with their son

in a heating and air conditioning business.

Karma enjoyed spending time with her church friends and playing in the hand bell choir at church. She

was a good cook and their neighbors enjoyed having dinner at their home where she made either beans

and ham or liver and onions with great desserts. They enjoyed traveling around the United States and

Canada in their travel trailer and later motorhome. Her husband passed away in 2010.

A man she had dated her junior year of high school located her via his computer and they married and

spent the last three years together and continue to talk regularly on the phone.

Karma moved to Waunakee a little over a year ago to be near her daughter.

Anna has been at Home Again for nearly 6 months and truly loves her job. She was inspired to become a caregiver after helping care for her father and grandmother who were both diagnosed with dementia. Prior to serving as a resident assistant, Anna studied political science at Georgia Tech in Atlanta (Go Jackets!), worked in the outdoor industry, and served as a firefighter. In her spare time, she and her husband enjoy animal rescue - they have 3 dogs, 2 cats, a snake, and fish, and also serve as foster parents for various rescue groups. She is also an avid cyclist and bi-cycle racer who's family moved to Wisconsin for our active bike scene. On the weekends, she can be found racing cyclocross and track with a youth development team out of Kenosha, or exploring Wisconsin with her husband via bicycles (sometimes on their vintage tandem).

Happy to announce we have now started outdoor visits in our patio area in the parking lot.

Remember residents and visitors need to be wearing a mask and social distancing of 6 feet apart. October….Fall...my favorite time of the year!

Mother nature has taken out her paint brushes and begun her diligent work. Bringing out the hues

of orange, yellow, and red all around us. So much beauty surrounds us at this time of the year.

Crunching of the leaves beneath our feet, families going apple picking, baking apple and pumpkin

pies. My heart be still! This is the perfect time to spend these beautiful days outdoors. At Home

Again we have added outdoor visits between residents and families in a designated area. Emails

have been sent out to families regarding protocol for these visits. If you have any questions please

ask Bobbie, Brea, or Donna. Enjoy, be safe and admire while the weather is still beautiful.
