Annalisa completed her English for Business Course at Phoenix Academy and immediately embarked upon her Internship with an Australian company. Marketforce, a leading advertising agency in Western Australia, offered Annalisa an excellent insight into how Australians work and the Australian corporate environment. Here’s what she has to say about her experience ....

Q: Did you enjoy your work placement experience?Oh yes. This placement has given me a good chance to experience working in an Australian Advertising agency. The work was very interesting and this experience has broadened my skills and knowledge in general administration.

Q: Will your work placement experience increase your future job prospects?Defi nitely! I would like to eventually work in an advertising company when I return to Italy. My internship will make my resume look very attractive and will also increase my job prospects.

Q: Was your Host Employer (Marketforce) welcoming & committed to a positive mutual outcome?Yes, Marketforce is one of the biggest advertising agency in Perth. In 2005, it was awarded the “Agency of the Year” in the industry! Everyone I got to know at Marketforce was very friendly and warm towards me. The company has a wide range of activities and a huge clientele. I really enjoyed the wide range of tasks assigned to me as well as the fantastic offi ce atmosphere.

Q: Was your supervisor helpful and supportive?Yes she was. I worked under a couple of different people but Ms Savanah Visinoni, the Group Communications Director, was the kindest and sweetest person to work with. She was very patient and had spent a lot of time training and teaching me new skills. Overall, I have to say that everyone in the company was very helpful and friendly!

Q: Would you recommend your Host Employer (Marketforce) for other work placement?Of course! I wouldn’t want anyone to miss such wonderful opportunity! I have learnt so much from Marketforce and I think anybody who works with them will gain the same experience as I have.
