PROPOSAL Abraham Lincoln High School will start a
mural club. Students will be active representatives of the community and will behave as such. Students will learn about graffiti art history and also create murals. The school will provide the group a designated area to create murals. To regulate appropriateness, the group will have an adult staff sponsor. The school will also help by providing funding from the discretionary funds.

Students’ artwork will be displayed, beautifying the school
Possible Additions
• West High School is working together with Denver Parks and Recreation Centers, we could too
• Get financial funding from companies around the neighborhood
• DPS can provide mural boards to draw on and be put into schools (interior)
• Murals may be themed to represent certain aspects of the community
Second Step…
After studying the outcome of the Mural Club, we would like to establish a Graffiti Art Class to guarantee students are learning. The class would offer Five Point credit, and would count towards art credit.
AND…
Our group is looking for students to help push the Mural Club. If you are interested, contact any member for more information. =)
