The mission of Foresters Community Finance is
to create pathways to financial inclusion in individual, social enterprise and non-profit

Social Enterprise Solutions is in the business of
building the long term sustainability of
social enterprises.
We achieve this by providing tailored support and access to finance, in the form of loans.
These loans support the development of the
social enterprise’s asset base as well as
helping the business to grow.
Social Enterprise Solutions defines social
enterprises as organisations that are:
….led by an economic, social, cultural or
environmental mission consistent with a
public or community benefit; trade to fulfil
their mission’ derive a substantial portion of their
income from trade’ and reinvest the majority
of their profits surplus in the fulfilment of
their [social] mission.

Our Process We utilise our extensive skills and knowledge of the social enterprise sector to assist us in analysing opportunities and adding value to your social enterprise: • Investment Appraisal - we review the capacity and capability of the social enterprise
or non- profit. This requires us to meet with the organisation or business and gather a range of information.
• Investment Packaging - where we identify investment readiness in a social enterprise or non-profit we move to support the process of pulling together all the information to present the investment opportunity to our investment committee.
• Loan Application - the final stage is a formal application for finance and presentation of the investment for approval to the investment committee.
• Loan Finalisation - once we have investment approval we will finalise the legal aspects, draw up contracts for you to sign and arrange the advance of capital.
• Ongoing Review - we will work with the social enterprise or non-profit over the loan term to support success.
A cornerstone of Foresters work is to develop
strategies to enable nonprofit
organisations reach their objectives.
Often excluded from mainstream financial
institutions, nonprofit organisations need
access to capital to grow and develop.
Foresters assists these organisations to realize
their potential. To date this has been achieved
through our Community Asset Building program.
