    ANGLE OBSERVATION BOOKING

    Each observation made must be recorded in certain

    books off work (as used by the department of survey and

    mapping Malaysia) in accordance with regulations of

    survey. Here are the rules that must be adopted forbookkeeping work performed.

    a) All measurements shall be recorded in ink in certain

    spaces as soon as observation are made. Use a pencil and

    red ink is strictly prohibited. Ink pen ( ball pen ) can beused ( blue or black).

    b) Using the alphabet or numbers are not applicable are not

    allowed.

    c)Stations must be numbered in the order in which the first

    job must come first. A number can not be used more than

    once for an outside job. Station number is referring to the

    station and for no other purpose.

    d) All information has been recorded can not be changed.

    Deleting is strictly prohibited.

    e) All the errors that occurs must be canceled altogether (

    for a particular area). Correction value may be filled at

    the bottom ( next column) or in another room..

    f) Entry date must bi column temperature on each day.Every page must be signed by all the officers of the date

    survey.

    g) Officer is responsible for adjusting the field survey and

    enter all the bearing space ( face left and right ) close to

    01 for first class and close to 01 for the second class.

    Bearing final should be written close to 01for first classand close to 30 for the second class.

    a) Observation Bearing

    -Bearing of the bearing observation is observed whether

    the face left or right

    - Accuracy depends on the class of traverse

    - There is a need to traverse the class observed and

    recorded up to 10 to 1

    b) Average Bearing

    -Is the average bearing between face left and face right.

    -The different between both of face is 180. But if 180

    is not available, the difference must not too large and

    must be averaged.

    c) Final Bearing

    -Is a bearing calculated and given all the necessary

    correction ( correction C and m )

    -these bearing are used in all calculations and drawing

    work.

    -Close to 10 or 0 depending on the working class is

    used.

    d) Difference Of Bearing

    -For close traverse, the final observation is known as

    close bearing.

    -These bearings have to be compared with a known

    value

    -The difference between the final observation and known

    value.

    -The higher classes of traverse, the smaller difference of

    bearing allowed.
