The perfect creation in the universe is not by chance. God created this beautiful

world, complete with plants, animals, and

human. Following the universal law of

life, everything on this planet is composed of five basic tatwa (elements) or the "panchamahabhutas". These are: Akash (Sky or

Space), Vayu (Air), Jal(Water), Agni (Fire) and

Prithvi (Earth).

The perfect ‘Balanced’ creation

Page 7: Angels of-humanity

Everything that is there in nature will be eventually

destroyed or will change its shape and form.

Everything is created by combination of ‘five-elements’ and gets

converted back to same ‘five-elements’ leaving no

waste.

That’s the wonderful cycle of nature

Zero Waste system of Nature

Page 8: Angels of-humanity

Whatever man creates gets destroyed, but its residue

remains in the environment to pollute it. These heaps of ‘waste’

generated by man destroy the quality of the environment and

disturb the relationship between all living beings and the Earth.

Cutting of trees and forests, soil pollution, dumping of waste etc.,

is severely affecting the sustainability.

Waste generation by Humans

Page 9: Angels of-humanity

Out of all creations of universe, only humans have been bestowed

upon with special powers and capabilities to make a difference in

the balance of these "panchamahabhutas". Only Humans have the freedom from nature’s

determinism that allows us to choose,

whether for good or ill.

Only Humans are capable of making a

difference.

Humans for change- Positive or Negative

Page 10: Angels of-humanity

•Children are the future citizens.

• Children also have the unique advantage of having ‘un-conditioned’ mind.

•Children have the potential to change the world around us as change agents.

•By instilling a strong moral foundation in our children, we reach a far larger audience as the message spreads to their families and communities.

•If our children have the right values, we can change the future.

•Children can become value driven leaders to bring about necessary changes for a better world.

Why Children as Angels of Humanity?

Building blocks of program

Right View Wisdom

Right Intention

Right Speech Ethical Conduct

Right Action

Right Livelihood

Right Effort Mental Development

Right Mindfulness

Right Concentration

Page 12: Angels of-humanity

To see and to understand things as they really are and to realise the basis on the Universe.

Since our view of the world forms our thoughts and our actions, right view yields right thoughts and right actions.

Thought is mother of all we see around us, and right thoughts lead to right actions, right actions lead to right habits, right habits lead to right character, and a world full of inhabitants with right character becomes a better world.

Right View

Page 13: Angels of-humanity

•The kind of mental energy that controls our actions.

•Right intention can be described best as commitment to ethical and mental self-improvement.

•The intention of resistance to the pull of desire.

•The intention of good will, meaning resistance to feelings of anger and aversion.

•The intention of harmlessness, meaning not to think or act cruelly, violently, or aggressively, and to develop compassion.

Right Intention

Page 14: Angels of-humanity

•Words can break or save lives, make enemies or friends, start war or create peace.

•To abstain from false speech, especially not to tell deliberate lies and not to speak deceitfully.

•To abstain from slanderous speech and not to use words maliciously against others.

•To abstain from harsh words that offend or hurt others.

•To abstain from idle chatter that lacks purpose or depth. Positively phrased, this means to tell the truth, to speak friendly, warm, and gently and to talk only when necessary.

Right Speech

Page 15: Angels of-humanity

•Wholesome actions lead to sound states of mind.

•To abstain from harming sentient beings, especially to abstain from taking life (including suicide) and doing harm intentionally or delinquently.

•To abstain from taking what is not given, which includes stealing, robbery, fraud, deceitfulness, and dishonesty.

•To abstain from sexual misconduct.

•To act kindly and compassionately, to be honest, to respect the belongings of others, and to keep all our acts harmless to others.

Right Action

Page 16: Angels of-humanity

Right livelihood means that one should earn one's living in a

righteous way and that wealth should be gained legally and

peacefully. Any occupation that would violate the principles of right speech and right action

should be avoided.

Right Livelihood

Page 17: Angels of-humanity

•Without effort, which is in itself an act of will, nothing can be achieved, whereas misguided effort distracts the mind from its task, and confusion will be the consequence.

•Mental energy is the force behind right effort; it can occur in either wholesome or unwholesome states.

•The same type of energy that fuels desire, envy, aggression, and violence can on the other side fuel self-discipline, honesty, benevolence, and kindness.

Right Effort

Page 18: Angels of-humanity

•Right mindfulness is the controlled and perfected faculty of cognition. It is the mental ability to see things as they are, with clear consciousness.

•Right mindfulness is anchored in clear perception and it penetrates impressions without getting carried away.

•Right mindfulness enables us to be aware of the process of conceptualisation in a way that we actively observe and control the way our thoughts go.

Right Mindfulness

Page 19: Angels of-humanity

•Concentration in this context is described as one-pointedness of mind, meaning a state where all mental faculties are unified and directed onto one particular object.

•Right concentration also means wholesome concentration, i.e. concentration on wholesome thoughts and actions.

•One method of choice to develop right concentration is through the practice of meditation.

Right Concentration

Page 20: Angels of-humanity

The program aims at making our children realise the need to change our ways, close the entrance to the path of destruction and extinction, and move on the constructive path,

keeping the Elements clean for growth, health and happiness. Not only will it be a victory of man, but also of Elements, body, divinity and

humanity!

Victory for Humanity

Page 21: Angels of-humanity

Education in its general sense is a form of learning in which knowledge, skills, and habits of a group of people are transferred from one generation to the next.

There is an invisible and constant interaction between these elements, which act for or against each other to create harmony or discord. The aim of true education is to teach us how to live in perfect equilibrium and harmony, by balancing these five main elements in their proper proportions; to balance the microcosm elements of the individual and the macrocosm elements, of the outer world.

Traditional Wisdom

Page 22: Angels of-humanity

The program deviates from prevalent mechanism of imparting education through class room format. The emphasis of the program is to connect children with ‘situations’ leading to lessons engraved in their consciousness deeply. This includes living in close vicinity of nature and observing its wonderful play, firsthand witnessing consequences of human’s negative practices (visit to a polluted water body, as an example), interaction between children coming from different strata of society enabling them to become aware of each other’s bliss and misery, etc.

Methodology

Page 23: Angels of-humanity

Being Helpful and Thankful:

The Core value:

The interdependent nature of our world connects our survival and growth to helping other and receiving help. Being thankful is essential to motivate the helping entities.

Objectives:

•To understand importance of helping and being helped

•To find ways in which we can help others

•To inculcate values of ‘helpfulness’ and ‘thankfulness’ towards entire nature, and not only fellow humans

Activities:

•Ask students questions like ‘who/ what cleans the air for us’, ‘where do we get the water to drink from’, ‘where does our food come from’. Using these examples connect the cycle between elements of earth, water, fire, air, space and the child himself.

•Ask students to find ways to say thank you and helping back the trees for giving us oxygen, soil for giving us food etc.

•Ask students to maintain a diary writing atleast one act of help and one act of thankfulness every day.
