Angelicus Children’s Choir/Angelicus Singers

I. Membershipa. 5 yrs. Old and above. He/She must be able to read and write.

II. Attendancea. TARDINESS – members who had been late for five (5) times will be

considered to have one (1) absent*Late during practice- members are given a grace period of

15 minutes before the practice starts. *Late during mass- Vocalization is a must. Vocalization time is

6:10AM to 6:20AM and 2:30PM to 2:45PM. Members who were not able to attend the vocalization are not permitted to sing during the mass.

b. ABSENCES – members are allowed to have an absent for a least five (5) times. It can be

excuse d only if there is a valid reason. Members who were not able to attend the practice are not allowed to at the Sunday mass service.

Valid Reasons:1. Sickness/Illness2. Emergencies – family matters concerning

members3. School Activities4. Projects/Examinations

c. SUMMARIZATION – every month there will be a summarization of attendance. Every member must be able to follow the mentioned instructions above. If they had been absent for maximum of six (6), the parents officers should talk to her parents otherwise he/she can be eliminated.

d. LEAVE – members are allowed to take a leave of absence in case of prolong sickness that needs rest. Just present a medical certificate or write a letter addressed to Mr. C. Bhong Doroteo or Parents President.

* Special Leaves – members are allowed to take leave of absence if there are

school activities. Just present a letter addressed to Mr. Bhong Doroteo and to

Parents-President.*Grade 80% and below – right after every quarter, members

are required to pass their report cards. It will be checked if there are any failing grades. If she/he have failing grade/s, he/she is required to take a study leave until such time that she pass those failing grades.

III. Behavior & Attirea. Character and discipline are strictly enforced to all members including to

their parents.b. The members are not allowed to attend the practice in a skimpy attire like

short, spaghetti strap, sandals with heels, blouses or sleeveless and backless attire.

c. All members are required to fix their hair (pusod) before and during the mass service to avoid disturbance while singing.

IV. Mass Schedules

-To avoid petty quarrels and pressure to both members and parents, no one is allowed to impose punishments to all members except Mr. Bhong Doroteo. Any misbehavior or violations must be reported to the Parish Organist for immediate and proper action on the matter. Parent-Officers are allowed to call the attention or even reprimand any members of Parents of ACC/AS in cases of these violations but not allowed to impose any punishments on them.

SQUAT/FACE THE WALL- (for a minimum of 3 minutes and a maximum of 15 minutes) for any misbehavior, violation on the rules/guidelines and inattentive to the lesson/practice.

a. Members are expected to be at the church at the call time given.b. Members are strictly required to observe proper manners during the

mass. c. Using of cell phones during the mass is prohibited. Members are only

allowed to use it upon important matters.

V. Practice Schedulesa. Schedule of practices vary upon the date and time of the Parish

Organist, Mr. Bhong Doroteo. b. It is announced after every Sunday Mass Service.c. It can also be announced through text messages. Kindly give all your

contact numbers to the Choir Secretary/Parents-Officer.VI. Meetings (Parents)

a. Monthly meetings is scheduled every 1st Friday of the month at 7:00 PM unless cancelled or rescheduled by Mr. Bhong Doroteo or the President of Parents-Officers of ACC/AS.

b. Every parent is required to attend monthly meetings. If the parent will not be able to attend the meeting, he/she must inform any of the Parents/Officers or Mr. Bhong Doroteo the reason for not attending and must send a representative that is old enough to understand the meeting concerns.Valid reasons for Parents’ absences during the meeting:

Sickness Emergencies – family matters concerning members Birthday Leave Work – Overtime (if employed)

VII-Parents Concerns

a. Any simple quarrel , gossips , misunderstanding and untoward incident that happened within the group the parent of the concern singers should not meddle ,nor those who are not involved. Everything should be coursed to the president –Mrs. Ellen Marallag to avoid chaos.

b. Parent should not scold or talk improper words to other children. Any problem of any parent regarding other children should be coursed to the President – Mrs. Ellen Marallag for proper disposition and guidance .

c. As a Law of R.A 7610 children are respected of their rights. They are protected by this law.

d. As one family of SOLGP, the children , be an Angelicus Singers or Knights of the Altar ,should have a harmonious and wholesome friendship with one another. Exemption to this is the public display of affection. Since all of us are serving the Lord and the Parish peace, love, understanding, unity and camaraderie should always be in our hearts and minds.

e. All parent concerns should be addressed and be endorsed the President – Mrs. Ellen Marallag for proper channeling disposition of concerns and advise.

VIII- Fund Raising

a. Be it known to all that the Angelicus Singers has no fund. To start to raise a fund a small can will be placed on the table every meeting and any amount can be dropped on the can to start the ball rolling.

b. Second proposition , every December , We can go on caroling to generate funds.

c. In the event that me will be able to raise enough budget. I will be holding a “ RAFFLE FOR A CAUSE for the benefit of the Angelicus Singers and the prize will be APPLIANCES SHOWCASE .

d. The Angelicus choir will be joining contests or competitions to win so that the proceeds of which will go to our funds.

e. I as the president will assure that all the proceeds from the funds will be well liquidated and reported e very meeting for the transparency of every body.

f. My mission for my group is to have unity, honesty , supportive’ and promote peace and goodwill to all members of the SOLGP groups.

These rules and regulations were ammended and ratiified by the officers of the Angelicus Singers 2014-2015 on this day of 13th of June 2014
