I am a designer with a range of experience practicing both internationally and in the
UK, working in Architecture, Urban Planning and Interior design.
Having worked as an urban planner and architectural designer in Shanghai and Hong
Kong I have experience working at the larger scale for mixed use, office , residential,
hotels and master planning projects.
I have worked in interior design and architecture for the last two years in London
and have progressed as a designer working on primarily high end residential projects
at all scales from architecture, space planning, FF&E and furniture design to joinery.
My technical and 3d abilities and a keen interest in holistic design initially brought me
into the interior design. I have progressed into working in project coordination for a
very large high end project in Lagos, Nigeria.
The diversity of my portfolio is what I believe is it’s greatest strength. My adaptability
to different countries, roles and responsibilities is something I pride myself on.
I enjoy my work in design and thrive under pressure, taking pride in my work and
the way I do it.
Core skills
About Me
A design reflects both the will of the designer and the process by which has been
formulated.
My process is a constant iterative effort, switching between hand drawing , 3d
modelling, 2d CAD and back again. By utilising multiple programs and processes
I believe that we avoid being constrained by the technological constraints of one
methodology.
Process
Drawing and modelling bespoke individual pieces of furniture and
lighting for use in high end projects.
Designing and modelling furniture is an effective method of
understanding the scale of a space and tying together the
architecture and the interior design of a building.
I thoroughly enjoy designing furniture as it is the main tactile
interface of a building with the users and can be used to generate a
cohesive approach to a space.
Furniture DesignHand Sketches, 3d Modelling, Rendering
Modelling the landscape, architecture and designing the interior of a
private house in London.
This project was to produce visuals and interior design for a small
high end architecture firm located in London, I worked under
podium architecture. I was responsible for all of the client meetings,
Mark ups. Producing the work as well as structuring the fees.
Rendering and post production of still images and animation for
final presentation to client and council. In this project I explored
using animation to express a scheme with a strong landscaping
element.
Project Brick
Surrey, England
4800 sq ft
Modelling landscape and architecture and designing the interior
of a sustainable high end residential project. The project was a fast
turn over and required a large amount of efficiency in terms of
production.
The process involved modelling the architecture of the project
from the original drawings and developing the landscaping and
interior design.
The Interior design was influenced by Carlo Scarpa and was very
architectural in its approach. The main goal was not to clutter the
interior and let the architecture speak for itself.
For these Visualisations I used Autocad 2015, Sketchup, Vray,
Lumion and Photoshop CS6.
Project GreenSurrey, England
3000 sq ft
Fast paced Modelling and texturing a private walk in closet for a
leading interior design firm in London.
A challenging turnaround of 3 days necessitated clear and decisive
communication with the client.
The project was completed by my company, Podium Architecture,
which I founded in 2013.

Lagos- Nigeria
50,000sqft
Build Cost- £85 000 000 GBP
Project Delta is a 50,000sqft new build residence
in Lagos where I worked on the construction
phase providing a full interior design service,
Architectural design consultation and landscape
architecture design.
I am responsible for the coordination of the
project between the design team and the
consultants and contractor. I work with a local
architects, a German Contractor and Joinery
company as well as an international team of sub
contractors.
Primarily my role is managing of contracts for
subcontractors and responding to site issues,
Setting tasks and managing junior team members.
The co-ordination of works on site and managing
logistics of constructing a very large house
requires very good communication skills, great
organisation and a lot of patience.
Grand Stair
The building is a 33 floor office headquarters , located
in Lagos. The client is one of the largest Nigerian owned
exporters of crude oil in Nigeria.
CDS was appointed as the lead interior design
consultant to key areas of the building internal common
areas as well as the chairman’s suites and boardrooms.
The scope of work was quite diverse, ranging from
private offices, entrances, to multi purpose facilities, a
gym and hospitality.
The main concept was to utilise organic shapes and a
refined palate of materials. The different spaces are given
more detail dependant on the level of importance
My role was as a designer and technical staff for the
concept Interior design. The project was interesting in
that the initial presentation consisted of hand drawn
visuals, which was very effective with the client and
efficient for production.
I was involved with concept creation, mood images,
space planning and furniture design as well as 3d
modelling of space, hand drawn renders and CGIs.

Cadogan Place
No. 48 Cadogan Place is a Grade II Listed
property which forms part of a group of
town houses, located on the east side of the
rectangular square communal gardens of
Cadogan Place. The proposed internal alterations
& extensions enabled the house to be brought
up to the accommodation standards expected
in the 21st Century by the purchasers of such a
large property, ensuring that it meets the owners
needs and aspirations for a welcoming, usable
family home. The historical significant areas are
being retained, while the low quality additions are
being replaced and rationalised to complement
the integrity of the listed building.
My role in this development project was both in
FF&E for base build finishes as well as design of
the interior architecture. A small team produced
this project and I was primarily in charge of CAD
packages for joinery.

This was a turn key solution to convert a 1
bedroom apartment into a intelligently designed
2 bedroom whilst still retaining the grandeur of
the principle reception room.
My role in this project was looking at the
traditional details and integrating them into the
new scheme layout. I was also tasked with joinery
and furniture design for the interiors.

Oniru Road
Like Project Delta, Oniru road is a 24,000sqft
new build residence in Lagos. Working with a
prominent South African architecture firm, I was
involved with the early stages of developing a
full interior design package within the extremely
short project programme of a single year; very
ambitious for a project its scale.
A contemporary design sympathetic to the
location; the project includes grand formal
reception & dining spaces, informal living areas
and a total of 8 bedroom suites.

A comprehensive private luxury development on
52 acres of land at Natai Beach. With seven villas , a
Clubhouse, sports facilities and a Beach Club. Four of
the villas are 25,000sqft internally while three beach
front villas at 60,000sqft and will be some of the largest
in Asia.
As well as the primary living areas, they will each feature
a 50m pool, 5 main bedrooms, 4 guest suites, Night
Club, Spa & Gym, outdoor Cabana, Tennis and Basketball
courts.
I was central to the design team from stage1 to stage
4, both designing and managing the production of the
team, setting up efficient work flows.
Initially, I was tasked with architectural design and
coordination with our local architects in Thailand. Later
in the project I headed up the presentation packages
and managed the 58 visuals that we needed for the vast
concept presentation. Subsequently I was tasked with
designing and drawing interior Joinery package, this gave
me a great insight into detail at a smaller scale. This then
informed my furniture and lighting package which I also
was responsible for.

Concept
A strong grid is integrated into three planes which wrap around
the east, south and west facade, representing an opening traditional
to a much lighter language of hanging gardens, a transparent glass
entrance and vertical copper louvres which are designed to bring ones
eye away from ground level and upwards.
Finally a north facade of curving balconies is revealed as being situated
within the gridded planes. It is seen to represent a river or an agrarian
landscape, a contrast to the rectilinear man made grid. It is understood
as a continuation of the podiums language of lightness and green.

Located within the Shenyang CEO village master plan, the Nightclub towers’ purpose are
to act as private clubs for government officials, dignitaries and VIP’s to socialise in a more
secluded manner.
Each of the towers contains three nightclubs, each with three floors, a ground floor
restaurant and a penthouse apartment on the top floor. The towers are interconnected by a
long elevated glass pathway.
Role
clients requirements.
schedule and changing client demands.
Concept
The nightclub towers consist of two towers interconnected by a glass pathway. The forms
of the towers in plan are designed to represent the Ying and yang. Given the importance of
narrative in Chinese culture, the dissolved grid is meant to be a visual reference to the clouds
or heavens in traditional art.
By celebrating the structure in a Cartesian grid it acts as a unifying element to create a
homogeneous theme. This element is disintegrated to create the different conditions desired
by the client such as a colonnade on the ground floor, a sunken plaza and balconies for each
of the nightclubs.
The architecture is also an exploration in assigning formal elements material in a layering
hierarchy. The tectonic vertical copper louvres are attached to the stone grid which in turn
reveals a stereotomic concrete podium which is punctuated with timber and glass.

The CEO office was intended to be the main office and corporate
entertaining center of our client. Apart from office space, it contained
restaurants, a gym, a pool, cinema, a business convention space and a
residence on the top two floors of the east tower.
Role
Concept
The two separate masses of the CEO office are unified by
utilising the same language of the grid which straddle a
glass mass on the basement and ground floor levels.
The areas which are predominantly glass are the main
public and shared uses of the building such as the restaurants.
Whilst the more private areas are more protected by the
Cartesian grid.
CEO Residence and Office
Shenyang, China

Role
Concept
The idea is that of a uniform horizontal fins facade which is covering the
building. It is seen to be effortlessly lifted to form the entrances to the building
and to reveal an interior of light structure and glass. This could be perceived to
represent a skirt that is blown by the wind.
Formally the fins are an attempt to accentuate the horizontal of
the building given it’s long plan. In the transition the perceived thickness is
transferred in a twisting motion from vertical to horizontal to form entrances.

River Garden East
Set within the Shenyang Rivergarden masterplan, the mid and high rise residential
towers are designed as luxury apartments in a large development situated on the
Hun He river.
Role
Concept
The building is broken down into two elements, the ‘river’ and the ‘garden’ based
on the name of the development. In the river units, curvilinear balconies and
facade treatment are maximised by thicker profiles representing water.
The water shape of the west facade is balanced by the colour white which is
indicative of metal in Chinese culture, which is the material of energy for a west
location.
The garden consists of a series of staggered balconies with vegetation mimicking
a vertical garden or a more random agrarian landscape. Furthermore, in feng shui
green is very beneficial in the east for prosperity.
The garden element deliberately forms the podium level, giving the impression
that the building is simply an extension of the landscape and also creates a more
humane threshold.
By creating two separate entities, and therefore identities, there is a clear
separation between the units which are facing east and those facing west.

Azura is part of the Danang World Trade Centre master
plan, designed by ANS. Developed by Vinacapital, Azura is
the tallest residential tower in Danang at 34 floors.
Rooms range from 67sm to 440sm. Facilities include a
gym, pool, business center, Retail space and a restaurant.
The concept behind Azura was to use the balconies of
the tower to create a wave like shape which related to
the surrounding context of the river and the Sea. By
maximising the thickness of the balconies, a certain amount
of natural shading is provided whilst also focusing on the
horizontal lines of such a large building.

Personal Drawings
I am interested in drawing the cities and towns that I have
relationships with as a means of understanding the patterns &
structure of the built environment.
In drawing, there is a means of contemplation about an area,
normally after I have moved away. In the drawings, the history and
layering of the urban realm is more legible.
The time spent drawing is time spent recollecting memories and
thoughts of a place, The process is much more important than the
end result, so as to not simply be a representation.
